The pop music industry is multi-layered with the singers being supported by songwriters, producers, engineers and the many different professions on the business side. Often times, those members of the supporting cast remain in those roles their whole careers and are totally content with it, others look to use the connections they have developed as songwriters, producers, etc. to try and launch a career of their own where they are the featured artist. Grammy-award winning songwriter, Poo Bear, appears to be taking that next step with his single, "Work For It" featuring Tyga. Poo Bear, also known as Jason Boyd, has now released the music video for the tune, which has a whole host of inconsequential guest appearances, including Justin Bieber.
"Work For It" features Poo Bear's silky smooth vocals and a guest verse from Tyga. The video is a mixture of various odd and seemingly unrelated clips with a group of men in a room around a table discussing some sort of business and then another young man getting chased by some rather unprofessional looking cops, only to be caught by Poo Bear and his attractive looking associate. Tyga surrounds himself with scantily clad women as he attempts to woo them with words like "Alright, sup miss if you can beg for it / Go on beg for it, spread your legs / Get ready for it (get ready for it)."
Poo Bear uses his connections to make sure the video doesn't just fade away into the abyss of the internet and actually is noticed by the music community by getting guest acting cameos. He is able to get Justin Bieber and Soulja Boy to come in for short acting gigs in the video adding to its marketing quality via Idolator.
The duo last colaborated on "Hard To Face Reality" back April.
The 4-time Grammy Award winner has written songs like Usher's "Caught Up" and Chris Brown's "She Ain't You" and "I Can Transform Ya."
