Stop us if you've heard this one before: Morrissey has tour plans for 2015. We've only gotten wind of six dates thus far but they're big ones...the former Smiths frontman will bring his act back home to the UK for a run of arena dates-stopping in Nottingham, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Leeds, Glasgow and Birmingham (from Billboard).
The jokes that inevitably follow such an announcement involve whether he'll actually play them, of course. The vocalist has received a rather bad rap for canceling shows and 2014 far from improved the situation as Morrissey backed out of several dates during his international tour due to illness (and one more due to heckling at a show in Warsaw).
One positive sign that he's feeling better: The official poster for the short tour features a photo of the vocalist onstage, wearing a bright yellow button-down and looking positively chuffed to be before his audience. Let's hope that attitude continues through the rest of 2015 (so far he's only made headlines for praising matador-goring-bulls).
One gig you've probably noticed is not on the vocalist's itinerary is London, but in his defense he did play the capital during November.
Here are the details on the six shows:
03/13: Nottingham @ Capital FM Arena
03/14: Bournemouth @ International Centre
03/18: Cardiff @ Motorpoint Arena
03/20: Leeds @ First Direct Arena
03/21: Glasgow @ SSE Hydro
03/27: Birmingham @ Barclaycard Arena
