Austin City Limits is in full swing, and a performance by The Black Keys from last year will air this Saturday (Jan. 31) on PBS. Video from the show has Dan Auerbach and Partick Carney powering through "Weight of Love," "Howlin' for You" and "Too Afraid of Love." J. Roddy Walston & the Business also performed five songs for the episode, Rolling Stone notes.
The boys are in fine form in the video below, which has Auerbach and Carney slithering through the hit single "Howlin' for You" from 2010's Brothers. The guitarist/vocalist asks for Austin's help during the "la da da da das" and he gets it. Everyone is completely grooving. If there's one place to see a live performance before you die, it's the stage at ACL.
The Keys also performed "Fever" from last year's Turn Blue, "Lonely Boy" and "Little Black Submarine" from 2011's El Camino in addition to "Your Touch" from 2006's "Magic Potion." Head over to Rolling Stone for more footage from the show.
ACL is celebrating its 40th season with a ton of great performances. Ryan Adams and Jenny Lewis's episode aired recently while The Avett Brothers and Nickel Creek got things started at the top of the month. The Foo Fighters ep is next in the rotation - Dave Grohl and the boys actually recorded a tune at the venue for their last effort, Sonic Highways (that session can be seen on the HBO series).
The final broadcast of this season will air Feb 14 and it will mark a first for ACL as the show pays tribute to some area icons. Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble, Nelson, Bill Arhos (show's creator), and University of Texas football coach Darrell K. Royal will be inducted into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame.
