Just one night before the biggest evening in music in California (the Grammys, duh!) another huge performance took place across the country. Rising music stars Bastille stormed the Saturday Night Live stage on Jan. 25 alongside host Jonah Hill to perform two cuts from its debut album Bad Blood.
After hilarious sketched including a Leonardo DiCaprio cameo and a spot-on Her parody, Bastille performed its top 10 single "Pompeii." Armed with an impressive pompadour and a big ol' drum, lead singer Dan Smith soared through the track's signature chants and powerhouse vocals.

And, of course, it wouldn't be SNL without a second performance. Later on in the show, Bastille performed the much slower "Oblivion," also from Bad Blood.
Next week, SNL will return with a similar music guest Imagine Dragons. Expect even more lead singers with drums!
