Justin Bieber might be the fifth most hated man in the United States, but there's one celebrity that's sticking up for the pop star - Lady Gaga. The Tony Bennett collaborator met up with the "Where Are U Now" singer at the Met Gala on Monday night and apparently gave the *former* trouble maker some advice. She later posted a photo of the two of them to Instagram with a note about what the Biebs is really like in person.
"He really has a sweetness to him. He grew up in front of the whole world. I reminded him to not get bothered," she wrote. "Because at the end of the day. He's the boss, and life isn't always Roses. Lots of thorns."
Bieber posted the same photo to his Instagram, calling Gaga "the queen" and later thanked the singer for her encouraging words on Twitter.
"@ladygaga thank u for the kindness," he wrote.
Bieber has been campaigning for the public's affection for the majority of 2015. Starting with an interview and apology on Ellen, he then posted a video online telling his fans he was sorry and that he was not the person he was pretending to be for the past year. He was then featured in Men's Health for their "Reinvention Issue" to further prove how much he has grown up and capped the whole thing off with another apology at the end of his Comedy Central Roast.
He assured those watching that the next chapter of his career would include less drama.
"There was no preparing me for this life. I got thrown into this at 12 years old. There are moments I'm proud of and things I've done that don't define who I am. I look forward to being someone you're proud of," he said after joking about the verbal abuse he endured on the roast. "I'm excited to see what's next."
By Gaga's account, it looks like he's sticking to his word.
