Sky Ferreira wouldn't be much of anything if it weren't for her dirty hipster sense of fashion, so it makes sense that her new music video for "I Blame Myself" would be paired up as a clothing advertisement. Today (April 16), the Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour opener released her new music video with a little help from online clothing retailer SSENSE.
As the music video premiered on a clothing website, the entire "I Blame Myself" music video styling is for sale on the brand's website. Gawk at the $1800 lipstick blouse and the $3000 mini skirts. Yes, these are the looks (and prices) Ferreira is wearing while running around Compton, encouraging rough looking men to dance alongside her in a graffiti'd alleyway.
Ugh, this music video.
Since "I Blame Myself" is more or less just an ad for SSENSE, the music video itself has little concept beyond "Sky Ferreira careening around a dirty city, dancing and making doe eyes at the camera." She also gets arrested at one point, more or less playing off her September 2013 arrest for heroin possession alongside boyfriend Zachary Cole Smith (DIIV).
She pulls it off well though, looking modelesque in that grungy, heroin chic '90s way. $320 sunglasses never looked so good, especially paired with the punky red lipstick and big ol' black cat eyeliner Ferreira is rocking.
