Sheezus has risen. In anticipation of its May 6 U.S. release date, Lily Allen's comeback album Sheezus is now streaming in full over at iTunes Radio.
Starting with the title track, which addresses Allen's fears about returning to the music industry after four year hiatus (her last album It's Not Me, It's You dropped in Feb. 2009). From there, Sheezus is a bubblegum pop exploration of love, feminism, the music industry and intelligence.
Allen has always expertly been able to blend innocent sounding instrumentation with biting, pensive lyrics (as well as the occasional cutesy track), and she does that once again on Sheezus. It's equal parts snarky, catchy and plain ol' fun.
Sheezus has been led by singles "Hard Out Here," "Air Balloon," "Our Time" and "Sheezus." It officially drops on May 6. The album is available for pre-order now; downloads of the four singles will be obtained immediately.
