Slipknot's Corey Taylor has strong opinions on controversial candidate Donald Trump, and all other presidential candidates in the upcoming election. In a new interview, the front man goes as far as to compare the staunch Republican candidate to David Duke, former grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. He also talks the other candidates in the running, including Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.
"I can remember when David Duke ran for president, and people scoffed at him," Taylor said to Rolling Stone. "It was a joke. Like, how do you even consider the fact that you've got a shot at this? And now here comes Trump. And just because he's a fucking talking head on television, people are taking him seriously."
Taylor continued with, "Between that and the fact that he is appealing to some crazy f*cking fear in the conservative wing of America, it is scaring me, to be honest. The Republicans need to f*cking disavow him if they want to be taken seriously at all - not only by middle-of-the-road America, but by the rest of the f*cking world."
When the publication asked about the other candidates he referred to Clinton as "pre-packaged and planned," and said that Sanders is "trying to bring people together instead of pull them apart."
This past October, the outspoken singer was involved with a widely publicized punch-out with WWE wrestler Baron Corbin, who was set to fight fellow wrestler Samoa Joe. Reportedly Taylor was in the crowd during Aftershock Festival when he got into a verbal battle with the wrestler, as the two had been exchanging nasty sentiments with one another for some time. Taylor then stepped up to the stage and punched Corbin in the face, which lead Samoa Joe to win the match.
