Panic! At The Disco stopped by the set of Good Morning America on Friday (Jan. 15) to perform their latest single, "Victorious," off of their 2015 studio album, Death of a Bachelor, and they did not disappoint.
The performance, as always, was full of energy as frontman Brendon Urie bounced around stage and had the crowd, or anyone watching the below recap for that matter, singing along to the catchy tune. The band previously released a celebration-themed music video for the song back in November, shortly after a social media campaign where they teased the new album with an unrelated old "This Is Gospel" backing track, prior to its official announcement.
Yesterday, the band also announced an extensive joint U.S. tour with Weezer in support of the new album slated for Summer 2016 with further support from Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. It will kick off on June 10 at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas and wrap up on August 6 in Irvine, California at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre.
Upon its official announcement late last year, Urie released a statement in regards to the new album's inspiration. "Death of a Bachelor is in honor of those times I spent alone as a kid. Allowing music to consume me. Playing everything myself just to get the idea right and out of my head. It's a beginning to a new era. And an homage to how it all began," he said. "This album is me. Running to the piano. Building a drum kit. Strumming a guitar. Some things never change."
Death Of A Bachelor, which was just released yesterday via Fueled By Ramen/DCD2, is Panic! At The Disco's fifth overall studio album. The project debuted at number one on the overall iTunes charts. You can currently purchase the new record via iTunes.
