iShi, Wale, French Montana, Raekwon Unveil 'We Run' Music Video

Swedish hip-hop producer iSHi, signed to Avicii's PRMD imprint, has released his new song titled "We Run" with his biggest cast of stars yet, Wale, French Montana and Raekwon. In addition to the tracks release from his 2015 mixtape Spring Pieces, the foursome have unveiled the "We Run" music video.

The video is a simple black and white treatment for the tune, filming the three rappers in an abandoned factory outside of Los Angeles. It interpolates overhead shots of the city and some brief cameos by the man behind the boards, iSHi.

The new single version is different from the one that made it onto the album. The first verse is still Montana's braggadocios lines about women, money and cars like "Served the customers to custom made the Porsche / Nasir Jones, homie, the world is yours."

Wale is added for the second verse and decides to use it as a chance for some social commentary against police brutality. "We can run the world, just get the handcuffs off us / Mr. Officer, don't want no problems / I don't got no Glock, no girl, why you so forceful? / It's like I'm sounding like Floyd before another bout," the D.C. rapper spits.

The tune then reaches its climax with the hard-hitting rhymes of Raekwon, hitting at his haters with lines like "Whoever said I went down? I was configurating this money / To feed my babies monthly and retire / But now I'm more larger, smarter, call me the martyr / This separating me from these authors."

The beat from iSHi is at the top of what you will hear from hip-hop producers, combining his classical training with an ear for what works in the world of rap. Watch the video below. Pick up a copy of the song here.
