Ain't no party like the after-party right? After sitting down through hours of countless performances at the 58th annual Grammy Awards on Monday (Feb. 15), Paul McCartney was looking to let loose on the dance floor. After attempting to gain entry into a party at a Hollywood nightclub hosted by Tyga, the legendary musician was reportedly denied. Did Tyga have anything to do with it? The rapper responds to the allegations.
Tyga threw an after-party celebration at Argyle nightclub in Hollywood, but apparently McCartney's iconic status in the music industry wasn't enough to get him in. The 73-year-old wasn't the only one turned away, since he arrived at the establishment with fellow musicians Beck and Foo Fighters drummer, Taylor Hawkins.
McCartney didn't take the public rejection to heart, as he was later spotted at the Republic Records after-party at Hyde Sunset Kitchen+ Cocktails in Los Angeles. He was welcomed with opened arms and surrounded by a star-studded guest list including The Weeknd, Woody Harrelson, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Lorde, Ariana Grande and more. McCartney's wife, Nancy Shevell, also joined him.
"Paul McCartney literally danced the night away with his wife, Nancy. So adorable," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "And he was surrounded by Beck, Woody Harrelson and Taylor Hawkins. The song that got him up dancing was 'FourFiveSeconds.'"
In a video posted by TMZ, the former Beatles bassist is seen joking about being dismissed from the club by security. He asked how much of a high-profile celebrity he has to be to get into the party and suggested maybe they need to make another hit to be considered for VIP.
Word got back to Kylie Jenner's boyfriend and he seemed to know nothing about the decision to turn McCartney away. The 26-year-old rapper took to his Twitter account to clear up the rumors, admitting he did not do it and didn't even know McCartney in the building. Tyga claims he left straight after his performance at Argyle.
