The Swon Brothers
The Camp is a week-long residential program for young people from around the country who have Williams syndrome and are talented in music. It has a dual purpose - studying Williams syndrome as well as providing music enrichment through performance and education. ACM Lifting Lives funds the costs of the Camp while also providing scholarships to several campers. Through it, the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center is able to advance its mission of "improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families through research, training and service."
Campers will spend five days immersed in music-oriented activities. They will participate in a songwriting workshop and recording session and at the end of the week, perform live at the world famous Grand Ole Opry. Top-tier country music veterans will stop in to share their wisdom and knowledge. Prior camps have featured artist visits from Big & Rich, Brett Eldredge, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, David Lee Murphy, Eddie Montgomery, Gary Allan, Jake Owen, Jana Kramer, Jerrod Niemann, Julianne Hough, Kix Brooks, Lauren Alaina, Lance Miller, LeAnn Rimes, Little Big Town, Love and Theft, Luke Bryan, Paul Worley, Wynonna (to name a few).
