Guns N' Roses recently performed their first reunion concert and will still be playing for more shows although the band's front man Axl Rose recently shared that he broke his ankle.
Rose shared on Twitter that he accidentally broke his ankle saying, "This is what can happen when you do something you haven't done in nearly over 23 years, 'Internal Fixation.'"
The tweet comes with a video of foot and ankle specialist Dr. Rachel Triche, who explained about the condition of the singer. She also revealed that the Guns 'N Roses vocalist got a surgery for the broken bone with an "open reduction internal fixation" to put the bones back together using a late and screws.
"Right now he's in a cast, and we're limiting how much weight he's putting on it," she said according to Spin. "So he's having his set designed for the stage so he can perform for everyone still."
Despite wearing a cast for about four weeks, Rose will still perform on a special stage setup for two more Not in This Lifetime shows in Las Vegas this weekend. But the rock star has to limited the weight on his foot to make sure that it will soon be healed.
According to TMZ, Rose slipped onstage while singing "Mr. Brownstone" during their Troubadour show last Friday. Although he knew something was wrong, Rose continued performing with guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan, as previously reported by Music Times. Troubadour is one of the Los Angeles clubs where the rock band first performed before they released their debut album, Appetite for Destruction in 1987.
Apart from the two shows in Vegas, Guns N' Roses will also play two gigs in Mexico City as well as two Coachella festival dates, prior to launching a stadium trek this summer.
