Tyga Has Reportedly Reached a Settlement with Former Landlord Over Damaged Property

Tyga has reportedly reached a settlement with his former landlord, Gholamreza Rezai, over the damages done to a Malibu mansion he rented from him back in 2011.

An arrest warrant had been issued for the “Make It Nasty” rapper this past Tuesday (Aug. 9) when he failed to appear in court in regards to a lawsuit brought forth by Rezai.

Tyga is currently vacationing with socialite girlfriend and Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kylie Jenner on the Island of Turks and Caicos in the Atlantic Ocean as a 19th birthday celebration.

The lawsuit accused Tyga of owing upwards of $480,000 on the damages done to the Malibu home, and it also asserted that he had ceased paying rent only a few months after moving in. Reportedly, he moved from the home in 2012, leaving the landlord with substantial damages and an even bigger bill.

The damages listed in the lawsuit brought forth by Rezai include disconnecting the mansion’s security and intercom system, damaging a shower, ruining the hardwood flooring of the house and even installing a stripper pole in the master bedroom while he was staying there.

In court documents obtained by People, Tyga’s rent on the mansion was initially supposed to be $16,000, and when this went unpaid, Rezai attempted to evict him. His former landlord started the argument that instead of purchasing a Mercedes-Maybach for Jenner, he should have paid up what he owes for damages on the house.

It was even reported that Tyga might be eligible to be detained and possibly jailed following his non-appearance in court.

Danny Abir, who serves as an attorney for the landlord said in a statement on the settlement, “There has been a settlement reached to the mutual satisfaction of the parties, the terms of which are confidential. My law partner, Boris Treyzon, will appear in court Friday morning to ask the judge to quash the bench warrant since a settlement has been reached and our client is satisfied.”
