Swedish House Mafia 2018 Reunion Happening? Cleared Twitter, Instagram Accounts Say Yes

Swedish House Mafia seemed to be lining up for a reunion in 2018. The group wiped all its 2,000 previous tweets posted on their official Twitter account and fueled up the rumors even more by its members' Instagram accounts reconciliation.

Rumors are starting to spark up more when Steve Angello follows his Swedish House Mafia's former co-members, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso on Instagram. Despite his will to take on his solo career with his recent music releases, "Rejoice" and "Freedom," him following his former group members on their social media account might mean something juicy is in the pipeline.

Swedish House Mafia broke up in 2013 after playing its final show at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami.

Next year is the festival's 20th anniversary, which spins some rumors that the group will perform. As seen on the flyers, the name of the group's two members, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, are included. The said flyer also has written bylines such as "expect the unexpected" and "special anniversary performances," making the upcoming event more intriguing not just for Swedish House Mafia fans but also to all EDM enthusiasts.

This reunion speculation is not a first for the group. In fact, in July 2016, Proximity, a YouTube curator, shared to everyone the news that a Swedish House Mafia tour is going to happen in 2017, but Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso are quick to deny the news.

"At this point, we're not planning on reuniting and we have really no further comments on what the future for SHM looks like," explained Axwell and Ingrosso.

In December 2016, another set of rumors about the group's reunion is already sparking, yet it did not still happen come 2017. A lot of speculations regarding the group's reunion are on the run since then, but Amy Thomson, the group's manager, denied all rumors that a get-together was in the works.

Fans are reacting positively to the possibility of a Swedish House Mafia reunion. Goes to show that a lot of EDM fans and enthusiasts are looking forward to the Ultra Music Festival 20th anniversary to buy into the alleged reunion that is set to happen.

Swedish House Mafia's fans are consistently sharing their thoughts on Twitter about how great it will be if the group is up for a comeback. With everything on social media, the fans seem to be so sure that this is already a big move to make the reunion rumors come true this coming 2018. For now, fans are still waiting for an official announcement from the group.
