Lil Uzi Vert's fans are going to hell, the rapper stated this weekend during his set at the 2018 Wireless Festival in London.
Before launching into a live performance of "XO Tour Llif3," one of his most popular songs, the 23-year-old addressed the crowd and told them of their horrible fates, a consequence for listening to his music.
Lil Uzi Vert Plays Satan At Wireless Festival
According to a report by Hot New Hip-Hop, Uzi explained that the performance coincided with the biblical rapture. However, since none of the people in the audience were floating and heading up to the sky, he deduced that everyone might be going to hell.
"Like I told y'all earlier, you motherf****** have entered the rapture," said the young artist. "And if nobody flying up to heaven right now, obviously y'all motherf****** going to hell right with me."
The audience responded by cheering him on clearly not caring about their fiery fates.
"I'm so sorry. You can't get out! You're stuck, it's over," he added. "You heard the song a million times and you didn't even know. That's f***** up but I still love you anyway."
The little speech he made at the 2018 Wireless Festival was admittedly pretty bizarre, but it is exactly what one should expect from Uzi who has always been fascinated with the occult. Recently, he joined Young Thug in a strip club straight out from an episode of Twin Peaks in the music video for "Up."
The same devilish imageries in his new collaboration with Juice WRLD titled "Wasted." In the song, the rappers discuss chasing love while intoxicated from drugs.
"Damn, why is she so demonic?/ She Medusa with a little Pocahontas/ She been lacin' all my drugs or somethin'," Juice rapped.
Lil Uzi Vert's Fans React To Hell Speech
On Twitter, the rapper's pronouncement that he and his fans are all going to hell received mixed reactions. Many are ready to follow Uzi anywhere, even to hell. Others were a little less thrilled.
Even his collaborator, TM88, reacted.
Uzi released his debut solo album Luv is Rage 2 in August last year. The album includes the song "XO Tour Llif3," which was also released last year and peaked at the seventh spot of the Billboard Hot 100.
