It seems that some are still so busy talking about Tim McGraw slapping a woman who was trying to rip his pants off that they're totally missing the boat on what he's doing to help our military personnel.

Last year, McGraw teamed up with Chase and Operation Homefront to launch the Homefront program. They gave 30+ newly renovated, mortgage-free homes (that were provided by Chase) to deserving military families. This summer, they've been doing it again at each one of his tour stops, doubling last year's numbers.

Going above and beyond to help those who serve isn't a new thing for Tim. He has a long history and deep interest in supporting veterans and military families and wanted to find another way to honor our veterans and give back to them for their commitment and service to our country.

He talks about the cause on the Homefront page, saying, "Launching our HomeFront program made last summer so much more special than I could have originally imagined. I can honestly say that I got as much – or more – out of the experience than the veterans who received the new homes and assistance. These families made an incredible mark on me, and I’m more grateful than I’ve ever been for the sacrifices they make every day to serve our country. I’m just honored to be a part of this program, and I look forward to working with Chase and Operation Homefront to take it even further this summer."

The partnership is part of a larger initiative to help raise awareness about the issues facing vets and their families. Employment, home ownership and education are the three main things that they are stiving to help with. With one million service members projected to transition out of the military by 2016, the HomeFront program helps returning veterans successfully transition back to civilian life and build a solid foundation for the future.

You can help with something as simple as a text message. Text HOMEFRONT to 50555 to donate $10 directly to Operation Homefront.
