Fans were worried after 5 Seconds of Summer was forced to stop their performance halfway through their set at The Woodlands in Texas after frontman Ashton Irwin was hospitalized.

According to Metro UK, the band took to their official Instagram account to give an update about their member's current condition.

They revealed they had to stop the show midway because of a "medical incident." After experiencing such symptoms, Irwin was taken to a nearby hospital to be tested and reviewed by doctors.

The singer is said to have suffered from "extreme heat and exhaustion."

Today, Irwin is feeling okay and "recovering well."

"We apologise to all the fans in attendance for the show being cut short. Ticketholders please check your emails, you will be updated as soon as we have more information. Thank you, 5SOS.'" they concluded.

Irwin also took to his personal Twitter account to give an update, saying it's fantastic to play a "massive energetic show," but their most recent one caused his body to give out because of heat exhaustion.

When he was being transferred to the hospital by an ambulance, the singer said he was crying because he thought many people were let down because of the cancellation of their performance.

"I feel so loved and looked after by my brothers and team and all of you. this is the price a dehydrated drummer pays when he takes on Texas heat. All will be made right, ticketing wise, and rescheduling wise. I love you. Thanks for the love. I'll be back onstage ASAP!" he concluded.

After the band canceled their show, many fans took to Twitter to share their good wishes.

This is not the first time a musician was forced to leave the stage because of a medical emergency, as the recent news comes a few weeks after Motley Crue's drummer Tommy Lee stopped the show to be replaced by Tommy Clufetos.

Before their performance at the Trust Park in Atlanta, Georgia, the drummer had an injury, and he went against doctors' orders.

Even though he had four broken ribs, he was still able to play five songs throughout the set, including "Wild Side," "Shout at the Devil," "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)," "Saints of Los Angeles," and "Too Fast For Love."
