The homage performance came ahead of the scheduled Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts, where Alanis Morissette was also performing along with other star-studded artists.
Morissette and Hawkins share a rich history together as collaborators before the late drummer left for the Foo Fighters.

Alanis Morissette is currently on the road for the 25th Anniversary of Jagged Little Pill, one of the best-selling albums of all time.
On her trek, Alanis Morissette stopped by at the O2 Arena in London for one of her concerts in the area.
While the Canadian singer was singing her chart-topping hit Ironic, photos and videos of the late Foo Fighters drummer with Morissette flashed on the screen.
The montage played throughout the performance, where fans sing with Alanis.
The video tribute details the two's journey together as bandmates while Taylor Hawkins was still on Alanis Morissette's touring team.
Albeit short, the tribute performance was memorable, with fans in tears for the heartfelt homage to the late beloved drummer.

Alanis Morissette will be performing in the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts alongside musicians and artists close to the late Taylor Hawkins.
Hawkins' family and Foo Fighters mounted the two tribute concerts - one in Los Angeles and one in London.
Alanis Morissette will be performing alongside Miley Cyrus, P!nk, Gene Simmons, Krist Novoselic, John Paul Jones, Greg Kurstin Gene, Nancy Wilson, Nikki Sixx, and Chad Smith, among others at the Forum in Los Angeles on Sep. 27, 2022.
Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher, Josh Homme, Chrissie Hynde, Brian May, Mark Ronson, Stewart Copeland, and more will be present at the Wembley Stadium in London on Sep. 3, 2022.
Proceeds for the two tribute concerts will go directly to the Hawkins estate's chosen beneficiaries.
The Hand In My Pocket hitmaker's involvement in the tribute concert was important, as she was instrumental in the success of the late Taylor Hawkins before he left her band for the Foo Fighters.
Taylor Hawkins, Alanis Morissette Music Career
Taylor Hawkins entered the mainstream music industry as Alanis Morissette's drummer for the Jagged Little Pill and Can't Not tours from 1995 to 1997.
Aside from this, he also appeared in a handful of Alanis' music videos, including the hit You Oughta Know, All I Really Want, and You Learn.
Apparently, Morrisette knew that Taylor Hawkins was leaving her for Foo Fighters because of their obvious chemistry, as stated in Grohl's 2021 autobiography.
Taylor Hawkins died last Mar. 25, 2022, in Bogota, Colombia, a night before Foo Fighters' supposed performance in the nation's capital. Initial toxicology reports say that ten different substances were found in the late drummer's blood.
