Julian Casablancas has been a center of controversy over the past few days after he performed at TRNSMT over the weekend and at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark last week. More recently, fans have been expressing their concern online.
According to iHeart, The Strokes performed at the Scottish Festival and concertgoers described the frontman as "heavily intoxicated" during their set.
In addition, he also had a concerning behavior after he blatantly expressed his dismay for the crowd.
The outlet noted that Casablancas described the sound of his fans as the "Glasgow Children's Choir," and he'd rather be playing at a club.
"As a long time Strokes fan, I felt genuinely worried about Julians wellbeing tonight at TRNSMT," one wrote.
Other fans also accepted that the frontman's recent behavior might be "the end of The Strokes" because their performance was hard to watch.
"Casablancas genuinely looks like he needs help. They sounded mint but the man looked unwell," another one wrote.
The singer was not the only one who was having problems during the festival as the banditself had sound issues and most fans found it strange.
Not all supporters agree with one another as one user tweeted she doesn't understand why people keep watching the band because Casablancas is a "douche who has zero respect for what he does or his fans."
As of this writing, the singer has not responded to any of the comments online.
The recent performance comes a few days after The Strokes performed at Roskilde Festival, and concertgoers experienced almost the exact thing, saying Casablancas was "sloppy" on stage.
The group's performance got delayed for half an hour and the singer had many "embarrassing monologues."
The frontman has finally addressed the issue last week, saying he's fine and people have been asking him weird questions.
He concluded his Instagram post by saying concerns and questions are fine, it's just he finds it "dumb" when strangers announce or act like they know what's happening with him.
"PS, the concerns and questions are kind and fine! it's the strangers announcing /acting like they know some shit that's dumb. (weird questions, not the dumb side haha)."
The outlet noted that the post has been deleted.
According to the band's official website, they still have a few gigs until August. Their next show will be at the Splendour in the Grass 2022 in Yelgun, Australia, on July 23.
