Justin Bieber DUI Case Settlement Expected: 'Confident' Singer to Attend Anger Management, Make Charity Donation

After multiple trial delays and plenty more controversies, it's looking as though Justin Bieber is looking to put that Miami DUI behind him. New reports are stating the case will settle today (Aug. 13), with the "Confident" singer pleading out of the charges.

According to The Miami Herald, Bieber's lawyers will appear in court to settle the case. The state of Florida is expected to drop the most serious DUI charge, with Bieber's representatives offering a guilty plea for lesser charges: careless driving and resisting an officer without violence.

Bieber will reportedly have to attend 12 hours of a private anger management course, take a video intensive DUI course, pay court fines and donate $50,000 to a charity organization (a drop in the bucket for the multi-millionaire).

Bieber himself is not expected to appear at the Miami courthouse.

The plea deal follows Bieber's January 23 arrest in Miami's South Beach. Bieber was pulled over around 4 a.m. in a rented Lamborghini while drag racing in the streets - his car was going nearly twice the 30 mph speed limit, according to the police report. Bieber had a mix of alcohol, marijuana and anti-depressants in his system at the time of his arrest.

The lesser charges and resulting punishment for his Miami drag race isn't the first time Bieber has skirted the law in recent months. His notorious vandalism incident - for egging his neighbor's house in Casablancas, California, was dropped from a felony to a misdemeanor. While he could've spent time in jail, Bieber just got probation, a fee and a restraining order in the case.

The official verdict in Bieber's DUI case is forthcoming.
