BTS' Jungkook swooned fans' hearts with his historic 2022 FIFA World Cup performance.
As BTS members agreed to focus on their individual endeavors for now after performing together for years, their youngest member, Jungkook, took a massive step and dominated the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a new soundtrack.
On Sunday, Jungkook debuted his new solo single during the opening ceremony at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Titled "Dreamers," he sang the RedOne-produced track alongside Qatari singer, Fahad Al Kubaisi.
After their collaboration, the local singer shared photos of their performance on his Twitter account alongside the caption, "I can't express my gratitude and happiness for my participation in the biggest event of all times, the World Cup, in my country #Qatar with the talented Jung kook , thank you for everything."
Fans, on the other hand, caused several hashtags to trend as they included them in their tweets. Some of those include #WorldCup, #JungkookxFIFA, #JungkookAtFIFAWorldCup #BTSJungkook, and #BTS, to name a few.
ARMYs also expressed their gratitude as the other six members of BTS - RM, Jin, Jimin, Suga, J-Hope, and V - supported him by watching his performance via livestream.
BTS' Jungkook Suffers Technical Difficulties - But the Show Goes On
Seeing Jungkook's name as people praised him only proved that he offered a flawless performance.
On Weverse after his performance, he revealed that he faced an issue with his inner ear, making it impossible for him to hear himself as he sang.
Viewers, on the other hand, showered him with commendations as he perfectly delivered the song without an issue.
Jungkook's "Dreamers" music video is scheduled to be released on FIFA's official YouTube channel on Tuesday. It became one of the other official songs for the World Cup in Qatar 2022 - Nicki Minaj, Maluma, and Myriam Fares' "Tukoh Taka" and Davido, Trinidad Cardona, and Aisha's "Hayya Hayya (Better Together)."
"Dreamers" marked Jungkook's new solo single following the release of "Stay Alive" , and his collaboration with Charlie Puth in "Left & Right."
Aside from Jungkook, BTS also released the updated version of its hit song, "Yet To Come," to promote the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
