Big Sean and Jhene Aiko have kept much to themselves after the birth of their first child, which left fans wondering what they have been up to lately.
But a new video of the rapper teasing new music caused fans to double take-it appears that the "I Don't F**k With You" rapper was sporting a shiny new ring on his finger.
According to Complex, Big Sean took to social media to show off a couple of new developments in his life-including a verse he worked on for one of the songs off Ab-Soul's new album.
"Listening back to my verse I did for my brother [Ab-Soul] when I recorded it. [Herbert] out now!" Wrote the rapper including a fire, hand, and earth emoji.
While most fans focused solely on the fire verse Big Sean was rapping, some immediately noticed a simple ring-many assumed to be a wedding band-he was sporting on his left ring finger.
At first, it wasn't obvious but at some point, he began showing it off. Aside from the ring, Big Sean was also rapping about his rumored wife in his verse.
"Same girl for six years, ni**a, I'm that picky," he reportedly rapped. "How many friends I got to have my casket carried outside / Probably not as many would stand and watch me married outside."
Secretly Married?
The clip has since been reshared by several publications as well as The Shade Room, which caused fans to heavily speculate that Big Sean and Aiko got married secretly. Fans have flocked to the comments section to share their two cents on the alleged secret marriage, and the comments were mostly positive and full of well-wishes.
"I think they've been married. I feel like he's been wearing a ring on his ring finger for a minute now. But if this is new news then congratulations to them!! They're a beautiful couple, and have a beautiful family!" A fan wrote.
"I hope so. She deserves to be a wife!" Another added.
A fan pointed out that this is not the first time Big Sean has flexed this particular ring, "Y'all late! He had the ring on in the picture with his son."
However, despite everyone's excitement and the rumors going around the internet regarding the secret marriage, the rapper himself set the record straight. "Nah this just a feature i did on my homie Ab-Soul album 'Herbert,' but its new music in 2023 tho. Love," he wrote in the comments of The Shade Room's post.
