Big Scarr's death would have flown under the radar had it not been for Gucci Mane who publicly mourned the death of the up-and-coming rapper through his social media account.
Gucci Mane took to social media to share a carousel of pictures of Big Scarr, with the caption: "This pain. I'm a miss you [Big Scarr]."
According to the Daily Mail UK, the 22-year-old rapper passed away because of an accidental overdose of prescription pills at his girlfriend's house on Thursday.
Big Scarr has had his fair share of brushes with death several times before, his uncle revealed to the publication.
In 2020, he almost died after being shot; the bullet reportedly traveled up his spine and he had to undergo surgery to remove his appendix, which was affected.
In another instance, the Memphis native was also involved in a horrible car crash, which threw him through a windshield.
This incident happened prior to him entering the music industry, and the resulting scar became the inspiration behind his monicker.
Rising Career
Big Scarr signed under Gucci Mane's record company after making his debut in the industry, which boosted his career.
In 2021, he was included in Rolling Stone's Breakthrough 25 Chart and in 2022, he was included in XXL's Freshman Class.
While he had been picking up steam from the past two years, his supposed big break was to come in 2023.
