Slipknot already kicked off their tour a few days ago and many fans weren't able to see Shawn "Clown" Crahan perform due to his personal commitments.

More recently, the famed percussionist finally took the stage, making it a heartwarming reunion for the group after he missed three shows of their ongoing series of concerts.

According to Loudwire, the musician surprised supporters at the heavy metal band's set at this year's Download Festival, which marked the group's fifth time headlining the music event.

Frontman Corey Taylor hyped fans when he announced, "First things first, g** **** it, we got him back - make some noise for the Clown," before they played "Left Behind" for the first time since the beginning of their current tour.

The lead vocalist also took the opportunity to give a big shout-out to Clown's family as he wanted festivalgoers to scream as loud as they can so they could hear them in America.

Speaking about their comeback at the Download Festival stage, the musician expressed his gratitude, saying not all bands could even headline such a big event that's why they are very thankful for the chance.

During their set, Taylor opened up about his condition as he doesn't "sound as nearly as cool" and he had been fighting it for over a week now. However, despite not sounding good, the musician gave his energy and everything he got to fans who have been anticipating them.

As of this writing, it's unsure whether Shawn "Clown" Crahan would continue touring with the band on their tour or if he only appeared for the Download Festival.

What Happened to Shawn 'Clown' Crahan?

In early reports, Clown took to the band's official Instagram account where he announced that he was in America to take care of his wife who had been struggling with "some health issues."

"I'll be back on the road as soon as I can. We've been through this before and as always, we appreciate the love and support," he added.

This was not the first time the renowned percussionist took a break to focus on his family as he also took care of his wife in the past.

In other updates, Craig Jones, the band's keyboardist, and sampler for decades, was also not able to join Slipknot on tour as the group announced that he would be parting ways with them.

As of this writing, the band nor the musician has yet to reveal the reason for his exit.
