Earlier this month, Shawn Crahan, popularly known as Clown, announced that he will not be joining the band on their current European leg.
However, many fans were shocked when he joined the group during their headlining set at this year's Download Festival.
Following the big music event, supporters are hopeful to see him on stage for the rest of their tour. However, there is one problem; what happened?
Taking to Slipknot's official social media accounts, the percussionist opened up about his future with the group regarding their series of concerts, saying he will not be present on future shows.
"Unfortunately I had to return back home to be with my wife due to her medical situation. Thank you for the overwhelming support for the few shows I was able to make," he said. (via 987 Jack)
Continuing his announcement, Clown said he was sorry for missing the remainder of the shows as he was looking forward to being there.
Fortunately, the musician's absence is only temporary as he told their followers that he will be back by July.
Shawn 'Clown' Crahan's Original Statement
Prior to his Download Festival appearance, he announced that he would not be joining Slipknot on their tour as he needed to be in America to take care of his wife who's currently experiencing "some health issues.
He told supporters that he would be back on the road as soon as he can. Clown also noted that he and his wife had been through this before and they appreciate the love and support that they've been getting from the public.
Aside from the musician, Craig Jones will also not be present at the band's upcoming shows as they announced that he already parted ways with them, but the reason behind his exit remains unknown.
