Ian Watkins' ex-girlfriend Jo Mjadzelics, who is also the whistleblower in the Lostprophets rocker's sexual fantasies and crimes, reacted to the recent prison attack that left him in critical condition.
The former lead singer of the disbanded band Lostprophets suffered life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed and held hostage by his fellow inmates at the His Majesty's Prison Wakefield. His ex-girlfriend spoke up about the incident and revealed the one thing that surprised her.
Ian Watkins' Prison Attack "A Long Time Coming"
Following the prison attack, Watkins' former girlfriend expressed her shock that it took so long for the inmates of His Majesty's Prison Wakefield to attack the disgraced musician.
"My only reaction is simply that I cannot believe it took them so long, particularly in Wakefield Prison," Mjadzelics told The Mirror, adding she was not concerned about the singer's wellbeing and health.
The prison where Watkins has been staying is considered one of the harshest facilities in the UK, per The New York Post.

The former couple was in an on-again, off-again relationship starting in 2006 when the disgraced singer reached out to her on MySpace and revealed his infamous sexual fantasies. According to the ex-girlfriend, she tried revealing Watkins' true colors to the police for four years but was ignored in the end.
The police arrested Watkins when they raided his Pontypridd home in September 2012 after receiving a drug warrant. He was jailed and charged with several child sex offenses, including attempted rape of a baby, afterward and received 29 years prison sentence and six years on a license.
The disgraced musician would be eligible for parole once he successfully served two-thirds of the announced prison term.
What Happened to Ian Watkins?
Sources told The Mirror that there were fears he could die as he was currently in a "life-threatening condition" following the attack.
Three inmates took him hostage on Saturday, at 9 AM, stabbing him multiple times and beating him hours before prison personnel freed him from the cell. Daily Mail said the men who tortured him were "killers" who were recently jailed at the prison. The brutal attack reportedly started due to an ordeal over guitar lessons to other inmates.
Watkins founded his now-disbanded band, Lostprophets, in 1997, and the group broke up in 2013 following his sentencing.
