Guns N' Roses revealed that they canceled their scheduled concert in St. Louis "due to illness" but did not specify who among the members is facing a health issue.
On Friday, Guns N' Roses confirmed the postponement of the September 9 show in a statement on X (formerly Twitter). The band told fans to keep their tickets as it would reschedule the concert, though others who would be unable to make it to the new date could opt for a refund.
It added that it made the decision "due to illness" but did not name the sick member.
Is Axl Rose Okay?
While Guns N' Roses' statement did not disclose who the affected member is, the cancelation came over a week after its frontman Axl Rose revealed on X on September 1 that he suffered vocal issues while performing in Saratoga Springs, New York.
"My apologies I was a little horse," he said. "Fun night, Great Crowd!! Great Venue!! N' great to be back!! Again my apologies and thank you!!"
The singer also faced several health issues in the past, including a probable food poisoning incident in September 2021 that affected his vocal performance. He also suffered low blood pressure and low blood sugar prior to Guns N' Roses' show at London's Wembley Arena in November 201, leading the show to end earlier than expected.
Rose also felt light-headed and nauseous during a concert in Chicago in August 2022, also affecting his voice. A month prior, the band ended up canceling a Glasgow concert due to another "unspecified illness" the singer was struggling with at that time.
As of press time, the band's concert at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tenn. still has the same date.
Guns N' Roses' New Project
Guns N' Roses have a full-packed schedule amid their ongoing tour. Still, the band members gifted their fans new material since their "Hard Skool" in 2022.
On August 18, Guns N' Roses performed "Perhaps" at Pittsburgh's PNC Park live hours after releasing it.
"Forgive me if I don't run around and try to project as much because I'm gonna try to figure out how to f------ sing it live," Rose told the crowd. "I like to think of when we wrote this song it was like the immaculate inception."
The performance followed the accidental leak of the song in digital jukeboxes in bars.
