Maren Morris has been taking the internet by storm over the past few weeks following her exit from the country music industry, but she's not overcoming a new problem as she reportedly filed for divorce from her husband; what happened?
According to People Magazine, the musician is seeking legal separation from her longtime partner Ryan Hurd after tying the know five years ago.
The singer filed divorce papers earlier this month in Tennessee for a dissolution of their marriage with her husband.
As of this writing, neither of the two has addressed the issue and has yet to expound on the reason for their separation, but Morris' legal filing states "irreconcilable differences" as the main reason for their divorce.
The legal documents also revealed that the pair had been separated since the divorce filing, but it was unclear if they had problems over the past few months.
Morris and Hurd share a three-year-old son together named Hayes Andrew.
Maren Morris, Ryan Hurd Divorce
The couple is now required to attend a parenting seminar order, which is a must for those who filed for divorce in Davidson County, most especially if the separation involves children.
Morris and Hurd will have 60 days from the date of filing to finish the entire seminar. The former country songstress has already completed a four-hour parenting skills seminar a few days ago, but there are still no updates about Hurd.
The latest news comes after Ryan Hurd praised his wife for her decision to leave the country music industry due to its toxicity.
At the time, he wrote a statement on his official Instagram account, saying his wife deserved to be "celebrated, not just tolerated."
He also defended her from negative comments from online users as he's "sick of tevery talking head having some kind of stupid opinion about what she says."
"Love you, MM. Keep on keepin' on," he concluded his post.
