• Kendrick Lamar, 'Empire,' Action Bronson and Earl Sweatshirt Help Hip-Hop Dominate Album Sales Chart

    The past few weeks have been amazing for hip-hop, as the Empire soundtrack and Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly have led both the Billboard 200 to three straight weeks of rap at no. 1. Although it's only been a two-week streak on the Album Sales chart (Empire was outsold by Madonna's Rebel Heart during its first week), this week is still newsworthy as the Top 3 spots on the chart are all held by hip-hop albums.

    Louisiana rapper Young Thug, real name Jeffrey Williams, has unveiled the music video for his new song "Check" that will appear on his upcoming album, controversially titled Carter 6. Directed by Thugger and Be El Be, the video takes you inside Young Thug's tour bus that is nearly overflowing with his crew and stacks of 100s. You would think that he got paid for each gig in cash, which is how he was able to create such a video and probably isn't the smartest move if you want to keep your money safe, but alas Williams did not hire us as financial advisors. Having all of those 100s looks pretty baller.

Someone who he thought was a fan waited in line for over two hours with two pairs of freshly minted sneakers and came up to Tyga's signing table to get the boxes autographed, when he pulled out a sheet of paper from his pocket to notify the "Ayo" rapper that he had been served.

The track is the perfect collaboration between What So Not and rising vocal talent as her serene voice floats across a piano build with soft drums gracefully cresendoes into a myriad of synths, snare rolls and fxs. At the end of the interview, Najm coyly revealed that FKA Twigs, an artist who he looks to for inspiration had recently become secretly engaged to her movie star boyfriend Robert Pattinson. He caused a huge stir with these comments, which happened to come on April first and T-Pain probably deserves the award for biggest troll of the day after he revealed he was just messing with everyone.
