Slayer will reportedly release its 11th studio album later this year. The metal act will tease fans this Record Store Day with a single from the album, "When the Stillness Comes." The new tune will mark only the second piece of music the band has released since the death of founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman in 2013 -- they shared "Implode" last year. Limited edition copies of the single will hit participating record stores April 18, "Rolling Stone" noted. -
Faith No More Perform New Song "Cone of Shame" Live From Upcoming 'Sol Invictus' LP [WATCH]
Faith No More debuted a new song from their upcoming "Sol Invictus" album titled "Cone of Shame." The fan footage from the show in Japan is not of the highest quality, but it shows off the creepy tone of the song. The track follows the menacing lead single "Motherf**ker," the band's first piece of new music since 1997's "Album of the Year." The second official single from the album, "Superhero," will drop in March, Blabbermouth noted. -
KaZantip Canceled by Cambodian Authorities for 'Indecent Tourism'
In the 11th hour, electronic music festival KaZantip, which was scheduled to start tomorrow, Feb. 19, and run to Feb. 28, has been canceled by the Cambodian authorities because of what they feel is "indecent tourism." Having originally approved the permits and all necessary paperwork for the festival to set up shop on Koh Puos Island, the change of heart is dismaying for those who traveled all the way to Cambodia and will not be getting refunds on that. Also, the festival organizers thought they might be able to host the festival in the face of growing adversity in recent years. -
Jerry Garcia, Toby Keith, Cyndi Lauper and Others to Be Inducted Into Songwriters Hall of Fame
The 2015 class of wordsmiths to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame includes a cowboy, a blues legend and two Deadheads. Toby Keith, Willie Dixon and the partnership of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter will all be welcomed to the hall during a ceremony June 18 in New York City. Cyndi Lauper, Bobby Braddock and Linda Perry are among the other inductees, "Rolling Stone" noted. -
