Belgian singer Selah Sue has shared the lyric video for her single "Together," featuring a guest verse from Childish Gambino, which you can check out below. At first, the song has some ethereal, electronic R&B production that sounds like a more accessible version of FKA Twigs, though it eventually morphs into a more energetic club track with some tinny trap beats thrown in for good measure. Song for Those Buried in Snow in Buffalo and Elsewhere: Metallica, Ralph Stanley and More Sympathize with Your Plight
The northern regions of New York are being, in some cases literally, buried by snow. Our own Carolyn Menyes has brought light to Interpol being stuck in its own tour bus for 30 hours due to the weather and we're continuing a trend with a playlist surrounding snow. Not happy snow, like "Walking in A Winter Wonderland," not snow as in cocaine a la Jeezy and Black Sabbath, snow: The stuff that will trap you in your home and cause parties of pioneers to resort to eating each other. -

J. Cole Opens Up About Stereotypes In His The Fader Interview Ahead Of '2014 Forest Hills Drive' Release [WATCH]
J. Cole is set to drop his third LP, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, on Dec. 9 without any singles or videos leading up to the release. The accelerated release plan is a credit to Cole's loyal fans, who were invited to visit his old house in North Carolina to listen to the album ahead of the release (a la Taylor Swift). They were also treated to his Dollar And A Dream Tour — a series of six shows put together for his day-one fans with a $1 price tag per ticket. Being exposed to those fans and their diverse backgrounds has given Cole an interesting perspective on the world. In a new interview with The Fader, Cole opens up about stereotypes and how others perceive him. -
Faith No More Shares 'Motherf---ker,' Menacing First Single in 16 Years from Upcoming Album [LISTEN]
Faith No More is back with its first single since the late 1990s, and the boys sound like they are ready to reclaim their right rightful spot atop the alt-metal world. The new song, which they premiered live over the summer, is titled "Motherf--ker" — if you are going to come back from a 17-year recording hiatus, why not make the first single radio unfriendly? The track, off their upcoming seventh album, is menacing as it builds to Mike Patton's signature howl."We took the second sip from a cup we made of bones," he sings. "The first it was a ruse, a trick so aptly thrown / The truth is that our youth was a carpet laid of stones / Get the motherf--ker on the phone, the phone.""It feels apt that the first track we're releasing is 'Motherf--ker,' a song about accountability," keyboardist Roddy Bottum said in a statement. "Basically we've created, recorded and mixed a new body of work by ourselves and we're releasing it on our own label. It's a huge deal for us to only have ourselves to answer to at this point in our career and the song is about that, where the buck stops via the basic imagery of foie gras production, bondage ... y'know, stuff like that."The single will also be available as a 7-inch vinyl for Record Store Day Nov. 28. -
Lorde Says Nicki Minaj Almost Contributed to 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' Soundtrack
Lorde's highly anticipated soundtrack for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" was released earlier this week to much excitement. With the film premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, Nov. 21, the New Zealand songstress can take some time to look back on the whole process, like she did in a recent interview with "The FADER." Although the album features a slew of big names, Lorde did not get every artist she wanted ... like Nicki Minaj."When I first approached the project, I thought I would chose 15 artists and they'd be the 15 artists I was with three months later," she said. "But obviously, it evolved like crazy."According to Lorde, whatever Minaj was going to do for the album was going to be "amazing," but the "Anaconda" singer was too busy with her next album, "The Pink Print," to contribute. But the "Royals" singer was nothing but supportive."... I'm happy we're going to get a new Nicki Minaj album to listen to at the gym for six months," she added.
