• Billboard To Include Streaming & Digital Downloads In Top 200 Album Chart

    It has been a long time coming, but Billboard will finally add streams and digital downloads to their calculations for the top 200 album charts. The magazine, which has not made such a large change to the Top 200 Album Chart since 1991, is finally looking to the future of music listening, which is heading online and increasingly happening through streaming. It is the biggest change since Billboard started using Nielsen Soundscan data to calculate its formula for the top 200 chart.

    Just yesterday, experimental hip-hop producer Flying Lotus shared a new track from the upcoming re-release of Grand Theft Auto V called "Medication Meditation," featuring Krayzie Bone. Today, FlyLo is back with "Masquatch," another weird yet incredible song from the soundtrack, featuring underground hip-hop visionary DOOM (a.k.a. MF DOOM, a.k.a. Viktor Vaughn, a.k.a. King Geedorah). The track's extremely brief running time (it comes it under two minutes) is reminiscent of DOOM's classic Madlib collaboration Madvillain, and its abstract, hookless production wouldn't sound out of place on their Madvillainy LP.

    2016 will mark the 50th anniversary of the Beach Boys' classic single "Good Vibrations," and to celebrate, singer Mike Love will be releasing a memoir titled Good Vibrations: My Life as a Beach Boy. According to Rolling Stone, the memoir is being co-written with author James S. Hirsch and will cover Love's entire life, beginning with his "early childhood and family story."

Ghostface totally delivers as well, and the gritty production from The Revelations is a dream for die-hard fans of classic '90s hip-hop.

    "Saturday Night Live" has some big things planned for the end of 2014. Not only will James Franco, Martin Freeman and Amy Adams be hosting the final three episodes of the year, but they will be joined by Nicki Minaj, Charli XCX and One Direction. Fans can expect holiday hijinks the entire month of December, especially the Dec. 20 episode with Adams and "Story of My Life" singers 1D.The group performed on the show last December, joining host Paul Rudd (below), "Billboard" noted. Minaj made her last SNL appearance in 2011, when she guested on The Lonely Island's song "The Creep."
