• Squamish Valley Music Festival 2016 Officially Cancelled

    Festival lineups have been coming at us seemingly in pairs or threesomes each day this week, but there has also been some bad news on the business front to start March. TomorrowWorld announced that it wouldn't hold its 2016 edition yesterday and another one bit the dust as well. Squamish Valley Music Festival made the announcement that it wasn't going ahead with its planned 2016 festival this year.

    Blake Shelton's girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, recently dedicated her latest single, "Make Me Like You," to the country music singer, which talks about their budding romance and now, it appears that the singer will do the same for his upcoming album. Shelton's last album, Bringing Back the Sunshine, was released in 2014 and after his quiet divorce with Miranda Lambert in July of 2015, it may be time for him to release another album, especially since he looks happy and in love with Stefani.

Whether or not you took issue with the harsh lyrics, hip-hop icon Styles P. of the LOX took to Twitter to make sure everyone in the rap game knows that suicide is not something to take lightly. Styles P.'s daughter committed suicide last summer.

    Following Super Tuesday, Bernie Sanders immediately returned to the campaign trail, stopping at a "Future to Believe In" rally at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine, where voters who "feel the Bern" were treated to a performance by the Kenya Hall Band featuring Jon Fishman of Phish on drums. During the rally the presidential candidate declared the band "one of the great bands in this country."

Brown shared her excitement on Instagram and welcomed all of the love that some of her friends chose to share with her through their own congratulatory video messages.

    The first trailer for Nina, the 2016 biopic movie project about music icon and civil rights activist Nina Simone, premiered this week to mixed reviews thanks to reactions on Twitter. Hollywood star Zoe Saldana takes on the leading role in the film, which has been in the works for a number of years and then on the shelf for a couple more. After watching the first trailer for the film, people took to Twitter over issues they have with the casting of Saldana - which took place in 2012, by the way.
