• Erica Mena Leaving 'Love & Hip Hop New York' for a Spinoff with Bow Wow

Is Erica Mena one of the reasons you tune in to "Love & Hip Hop New York" each week? If so, then you will likely be sad to know that the reality star has confirmed that this will be her last season on the show. Life has radically changed for Mena in the last year, as she went from being a loose cannon living with girlfriend Cyn Santana to happily engaged to Shad Moss, aka Bow Wow. It is also looking like there is a good chance that these two will be getting a new reality spinoff show.Mena recently did an interview on New York City's WPIX and teased that a new show was a possibility. Let's be real here: Mena needs to make that paper somehow, and it seems kind of unlikely that she would give up her spot on "Love & Hip Hop" without another gig lined up. Sources also seem to think that her wedding, currently planned for April, is likely to be filmed by VH1 as well.
  • Is the United States to Blame for North Korea's Internet Being Completely Crashed?

It looks like the United States might be giving North Korea a taste of their own medicine. The country's state-run internet began experiencing connectivity issues over the weekend and now according to various news outlets it has been completely down for about three hours now. This development comes on the heels of the FBI confirming that North Korea is responsible for the hacking of Sony that has lead to a business crisis of epic proportions for the company.
  • NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton Does Not Feel that Mayor de Blasio Has 'Blood' on His Hands

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton have worked hard today to prove to the media and general public that they are committed to repairing the deep divide in the city. Early this morning, Bratton did an interview with "Today" that seemed to try and lead the way in smoothing over tensions between his officers and those on the job at City Hall. It has been widely reported that many officers do not feel that de Blasio has had their backs thanks to recent statements he has made. While Bratton understood how some officers are feeling, he also believes de Blasio has nothing to apologize for.Bratton also went on the record to say he believes it was wrong of officers to have turned their backs purposely on de Blasio before he gave a news conference about the deaths of two Brooklyn officers Saturday, Dec. 20. Some officers have reportedly felt that de Blasio has complicated their job by allowing protestors of the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown to freely roam city streets. Bratton challenged the notion that de Blasio has turned his back on the Police Department by reminding everyone that he has granted more than $400 million outside the normal budget to bolster the NYPD.
  • Casey Kasem Has Finally Been Buried in Norway Six Months After His Death

The only thing sadder than the fact that it took six months for Casey Kasem to be buried is the fact that it happened last Tuesday, Dec. 16, in Norway and his kids had no idea about it until today. The radio icon died in June and in the months that followed his wife Jean Kasem was locked in a battle with his grown children who believed he had been a victim of elder abuse. The LAPD had been actively investigating the circumstances surrounding Kasem's death and his burial pretty much puts a swift ending to any chance of charges being filed against Jean.According to a report by TMZ, Kasem was finally laid to rest last Tuesday in Vestre Gravlund, one of Norway's biggest cemeteries. Jean had claimed that she wanted her husband buried in Norway because of his heritage, but his children have suspected all along that she was withholding his remains so no tests could be done to further pinpoint what contributed to his death. They have firmly believed that bed sores led to the fatal infection that ultimately killed Kasem, but now there is really no chance of proving that even if it was the case.
  • Joran van der Sloot Tried to Sell Natalee Holloway's Remains Back to Her Family Shortly Before Killing Stephany Flores in Peru

Can you believe that it has been almost ten years since Natalee Holloway first disappeared in Aruba? Shortly after graduation back in 2005 the teen disappeared after a night of partying with Joran van der Sloot and her remains have never been found. It has always been assumed and believed that van der Sloot was responsible for her death, especially considering the fact that five years to the day of her disappearance van der Sloot has admitted to killing another young woman, Stephany Flores. He is currently serving a 28-year sentence in a Peruvian prison in connection with that murder and recently became a father. Natalee's mother, Beth Holloway became a regular fixture on the nightly news for months in the early days of the investigation and she recently sat for an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
  • 'RHOA's' Apollo Nidas' Behavior Has Gotten Just Plan Creepy Towards Almost Ex-wife Phaedra Parks

If you're a fan of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" then you have no doubt been following the demise of Phaedra Parks marriage to Apollo Nida. Perhaps she should have thought twice about marrying an ex-con but Parks believed that her man had truly changed his shady business dealings and when she found out otherwise she pretty immediately began distancing herself from him. The episodes currently airing on Bravo were filmed a few months ago, shortly before Nida surrendered to a Kentucky prison where he will spend the next 8 years. Last night's episode gave us all a front row seat to a different side of Nida, one that felt quite threatening.
  • Due to Mounting Pressure, Sony Will Likely Release 'The Interview' Eventually

It is kind of amazing how divided the United States is over racial issues, law enforcement and good ol' political agendas, but when a film studio gets hacked, it is fairly easy to get everyone on the same page — and quickly! Sony canceled everything in connection with its film "The Interview" last week, fearing that the group that has successfully hacked the company would make good on its threats of violence. Once it was confirmed that North Korea was responsible for the large security breech, the studio decided not to take any unnecessary risks and even the White House disagreed with the decision.First, Hollywood as a whole chimed in collectively, not wanting to feel like its business was being controlled by Kim Jong Un's regime. Then political leaders such as U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Newt Gingrich started rallying for the film's release. By this morning, Dec. 22, Sony started contemplating exactly what the best way to release "The Interview" might be. While the logical possibility was either video on demand or Netflix, some other companies might be more than a little skittish, fearing that they, too, will be hacked.
  • Taylor Swift Tweets Out Favorite Cover Version of 'Shake It Off' by Jesse Will: It's a Slow Burner [LISTEN]

Cover songs are tricky animals. Some are done better than the original; others are the same. The best are complete reinventions. Jesse Will pulled off a superb cover of Taylor Swift's pop smash "Shake It Off," turning the upbeat number into a slow-burning epic complete with violin. Even T. Swift loved it."My favorite covers are the ones where the artist has made it their own, changing the way the song makes you feel," she tweeted to her nearly 50 million followers along with a video of the performance.
  • Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Will Spend Christmas Together in L.A. After All

After several weeks of catching negative headlines regarding his marriage to Kim Kardashian, it looks like Kanye West is taking one for the team. Rather than spend Christmas in Paris like he reportedly wanted to, West will be with his wife and daughter in L.A., celebrating with the whole Kardashian family. That certainly is not the rapper's first choice in how to spend the holiday, but after completely skipping out on Thanksgiving he probably knew he needed to make an appearance. We told you the other day that this still newly married couple was at war over where to celebrate because West was determined to drag Kardashian and little North West to Paris for a special holiday celebration. That actually makes sense because we have heard for months now that he ultimately wants to move the family to France and make it their primary residence next year. Since he loves the City of Lights so much he likely would want to spend holidays there as well.
