The "Tik Tok" singer has accused Dr. Luke of sexual assault and has filed a counterclaim suing Kesha for defamation and breach of contract.The hit maker Dr. Luke goes further in his most recent filing, asserting that Kesha has concocted the date rape allegation as part of an extortion scheme run by her mother and her to get Kesha out of her exclusive recording contract. The lawyers, in addition, to saying the claims are false, argue that the statute of limitations has run out on her allegations, as reported by "Billboard."

    Despite the third-day cancelation, Made Event's Electric Zoo has released its official 2014 aftermovie for the sixth edition of the New York City dance music festival, according to a press release. Taking place over Labor Day weekend, the festival played host to disc jockeys like David Guetta, Wolfgang Gartner, Nicky Romero, Armin van Buuren, Zedd, Knife Party, Laidback Luke, Danny Tenaglia, Sasha and many more scheduled to play Sunday, Nov. 23, including Jack U, Skrillex and Diplo's duo; Kaskade; Dash Berlin; and Alesso.The video is shorter then the long epics that have become the norm for many dance music festivals like Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival. It does not help that one-sixth of the festival was lost due to rain, notably with the most camera-friendly parts at night, but the festival went for the short and sweet aftermovie rather than a "sit down, grab your buddies, get the popcorn and watch this 30 minute video" type of aftermovie.

    Diplo's Mad Decent Boat Party just returned to harbor, and now fans and revelers are able to get back to the comfort of their homes and Internet connections and upload the videos to the World Wide Web for everyone to see. A video of note that has picked up traction is one featuring Sonny Moore, known to most as Skrillex, playing Celine Dion's famed and Grammy-award-winning song "My Heart Will Go On" on a piano before his back-to-back-to-back set with Flosstradamus and DJ Snake via "Dancing Astronaut."Skrillex was a part of the post-hardcore band From First to Last in his youth before he found electronic music and began his rise to dominate it. He was the lead singer in the band, but he is also a skilled guitarist, something we see in his recent "Let's Build a Spaceship" documentary with Red Bull.
  • Disclosure Deny Involvement in Band Aid Thirty 'Do They Know It's Christmas?'

    Disclosure and Band Aid Thirty are not on the same page. Band Aid sent out a press release today saying that among the many bands that were joining its current musical effort, re-recording "Do They Know It's Christmas?" to fight Ebola, Disclosure were to be part of the endeavor. This is not the case, according to Disclosure, whose representative told "Pitchfork" in a statement refuting any notion of their involvement with the project. The representative clarified the matter nullifying reports of an additional remix as well, saying, "No planned remix or involvement of any kind, unfortunately."Disclosure's name was listed on the artist page of the Band Aid 30 website. It has since been taken down, but the list of artists involved makes the missing of Disclosure manageable. The CD will have One Direction, Bono, Rita Ora, Sam Martin, Clean Bandit, Emile Sande, Bastille and Ellie Goulding listed among the star-studded cast of U.K. singers and musicians. The U2 frontman was a part of two of three pervious editions.

    This was either a case of the thinking that any press is good press or somebody did not think this one through at all. In an upcoming compilation Punk Goes Pop 6 (there have been six of these ?!), a hardcore, death metal cover of DJ Snake & Lil Jon's trap anthem 'Turn Down For What" was included. The covering offenders are Upon A Burning Body, who got Ice T to spit a verse or two in between solving crimes on Law & Order SVU. The band rewrites the vocals, but keeps the same theme of turning up / down and general debauchery.

However, as part of Avicii's partnership with World AIDS organization (RED), who's goal is to deliver the first AIDS free generation in thirty years, and Coca Cola, one of the corporate sponsors for the campaign, Avicii has released the final product of a previously reported collaboration with Wyclef Jean, "Divine Sorrow".

The Rascal Flatts will start their nine-concert residency at the Joint, a 4,000-seat venue inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

    Pioneer Electronics has released the information on its brand new set of CDJ styled decks. CDJs are the brand of CD players from Pioneer, but with the new evolution of CDJs, that name is about to change. It has announced the upcoming release of the XDJ-1000, which boats the iconic Pioneer jogwheel, where one can scratch and adjust the time of the song and has many of the same features like cue points and sync. However there are two main changes that will be added to the XDJ-1000. It is CD-less and will be a touch screen with a QWERTY keyboard that makes song selection much easier.
  • Mysteryland USA Announces Dates and Ticketing Information for 2015

    With its expansionary plan just announced, dance music festival Mysteryland USA has officially announced its return to Bethel Woods, New York, over Memorial Day weekend in 2015. Mysteryland will take place May 22 to 24, 2015, on the site of the famed original 1969 Woodstock. Organizers have also announced details for purchasing tickets and camping options.According to a press release, Mysteryland will be adding a new camping option and outdoor camping stage, dubbed "The Pineapple Paradise," in addition to the Camping Circus and BangOn! Bus, which bring a total of three stages in the Holy Ground stages in the Holy Ground camping site. The festival pre-party will take place Friday between 2 p.m. and 2 a.m. on the Holy Ground camping site, with additional parties starting in the campgrounds each morning at 11 a.m. before commencement of the music on the actual festival grounds.The festival offers several different types of "glamping" options that will be equipped with showers, beds, power outlets, lighting and more.

    "Frozen's" success has been staggering. Though it is no longer in theaters, its box office success was the fifth largest ever, according to the BBC, and it has sustained sales since the end of last year until now with DVD and soundtrack sales, notably being the only album, besides Taylor Swift's, to sell 1 million copies in 2014. It has inspired plenty of covers, including a Movember-themed one, remixes and mashups as well, and now because the Internet we have a must-watch Breaking Bad version of one of Frozen's songs, "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" via "Huffington Post."Taking two of the most popular cinematic pieces that have been released in the past two years and mashing them together is a genius idea. It is surprising it took this long to happen. The video is well-done, with quality cartoon animation that captures many different themes of the show, like the fly in the lab. The lyrics are written right in rhythm with the instrumental of "Frozen" that somehow makes the theme of cooking meth sound so cheery and happy.

Scheduled for this week, the band has had to postpone indefinitely their residency due to an injury incurred by Bono while he was cycling in Central Park, according to "Billboard."U2 released the following statement on their website:"It looks like we will have to do our 'Tonight Show' residency another time — we're one man down. Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it. We're sure he'll make a full recovery soon, so we'll be back!   • Lollapalooza South America Announces Lineups For 2015 Festivals In Argentina, Brazil & Chile

    Lollapalooza has announced the lineups for its three South American festivals coming this spring in 2015 as reported by Billboard. The three festivals will take place on consecutive weekends in March in Santiago, Chile on March 14-15 in Buenos Aires, Argentina on March 21-22 and on March 28-29 in Sao Paolo, Brazil. The lineups fill feature many of the same headliners like Jack White, Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Foster The People, Smashing Pumpkins, Major Lazer and Robert Plant, but there are plenty more local and international acts that join the festival on each date.

  • Is J Cole Releasing An Album Next Month?

    The rumor mill is spinning in full force around an upcoming J Cole album due to an apparent leak from Amazon. As pointed out by MissInfo.TV, Amazon put onto its store an apparent LP for J Cole, "2014 Forest Hills Drive," which, according to the pre-sale order, is slated for release Dec. 9. The intrigue continues from there: "2014 Forest Hills Drive" is an address in J Cole's hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and, according to Vibe, he recently purchased the home.The alleged album does not appear on iTunes, however. Also, with the Amazon pre-order there is conspicuously no album art attached to the CD, which lends itself to the belief that this was not supposed to be uploaded now.There is more evidence to back up the theory on this album. According to reports, a now-deleted Instagram post shows J Cole's engineer Juro Davis in the studio "as he finishes up the last few mixes for J Cole's 3rd studio."

His recent artist album "Motion" just hit No. 1 on the dance/electronic sales charts with 35,000 copies sold, sliding in ahead of Knife Party's debut artist album "Abandon Ship," which leaked three weeks early on iTunes via "Billboard." Harris's "Motion" unseated Disclosure's hit album "Settle," which has been on the top of the dance/electronic albums charts for the past 75 weeks. This is Calvin Harris's second No. 1 on the dance/electronic album charts, following his 2012 effort "18 Months."Harris's chart domination does not stop at albums. He has also topped the Billboard hot dance/electronic songs chart with his single "Blame" alongside U.K. singer John Newman. It is the 10th week that "Blame" has been in the charts since it was first released. It is Calvin Harris's third song currently in the top 10 via "Billboard." He set records when he became the first artist to place three songs in the dance/electronic top 10 and has not relinquished his grip on the chart just yet, with "Blame," "Outside" featuring Ellie Goulding and "Summer."
