    The U.K. official charts have unveiled the top songs of 2015 and there are few surprises at the top. The No. 1 song of the year was the dominant and irresistible, "Uptown Funk" from Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, while the rest of the top ten had tracks from the likes of OMI, courtesy of Felix Jaehn, Wiz Khalifa, Hozier, Adele, Justin Bieber and more.

    The very, almost too public saga fight between Martin Garrix, Spinnin' Records and its artist management arm MusicAllStars Management has another chapter. After some chatter over the summer and into the winter, where it appeared as though the matter over the rights to the "Poison" DJ's music was being settled amicably, the suit turned for the worst when Spinnin' presented their side of the story just before the New Year. Now Garrix is coming back with yet another statement, calling the recent remarks by Spinnin' "to say the least - one sided and in any case incorrect in some respects."

    Gucci Mane has been in prison since 2013, though that has not stopped his music from being released at a remarkable rate. This music is all leftover recordings from an era where Guwop was a free man and according to his label 1017 Records, the day where Gucci gets out is coming sooner than many may have expected. In a new Instagram post, the label revealed that Guwop will be getting out in March 2016.

    50 Cent has released a short film / music video for his song "I'm The Man" taken from his Power-inspired mixtape The Kanan Tape. Directed by Eif Rivera, the video covers all of the main elements one might expect with money, violence and sex at the forefront, but there is a storyline, albeit messy one in there.

    Grammy-nominated producer and DJ Mat Zo spent much of 2015 gather headlines for his Twitter fingers, but it appears as though he is gearing up to release some new music in 2016. He has been talking about a new album on his socials over the past few months and in responding to a fan question about the new album, he revealed that his second LP would arrive in "early February." To get fans back in the mood for new music, he has been uploading songs to a playlist of rejected demos for the album that are about as diverse as they come.

    The rise and fall of Scott Storch has been well-documented ever since he declared bankruptcy in June 2015 after blowing through nearly $70 million in earnings on a cocaine addiction. He is attempting to bounce back and revive his career, however two men Brad and Seth Cohen, who are bankrolling Storch's comeback to the tune of at least $1 million are suing the super producer. They claim he "is back to his old ways and is not someone to trust with any monies."

    OG Maco has released his new The Lord Of Rage mixtape. The "U Guessed It" rapper handles the mixtape almost entirely on his own, only tabbing Losa for a feature on "Talk To Em." Production comes from three sources Dolan Beats, Slade da Monsta and PHRESH PRODUCE, who takes on six of the songs including the lead single "Ape Sh*t." The mixtape lays the groundwork for Maco's upcoming European tour that will kick off at the end of the month.

In addition to the nullified deal, Spotify's deal with Beatport has been terminated and SFX's contract with TMWRK, the management group for artists like Jack Ü, Diplo and Dillon Francis, has been terminated as well.
