    Though Beyoncé was nominated for four awards at the 2016 Emmys and never made it to the podium for Lemonade, she was able to make it up there in spirit. Many of the winners decided to quote, or attempted to quote, Jay Z's 2003 song "Public Service Announcement" from the Black Album, which references the rapper's relationship to the Queen Bey.

    The lawsuit that alleges Beyonce illegally borrowed concepts for the 'Lemonade' trailer has already been thrown out of court. This past June, indie filmmaker Matthew Fulks sued the singer, asserting that imagery like “graffiti and persons with heads down,” “parking garage,” and “feet on the street” had been lifted from the short film he released in 2014, 'Palinoia.'

Spears performed her latest single “Make Me” with the rapper, who had also had her take part in his song “Me, Myself and I.”
