The "IDFWU" rapper continues the steady stream of information and has posted a link to his website that includes a trailer and release date. He also revealed on Twitter that new music was coming this week. -

There has been a lot of attention given to Kendrick Lamar's upcoming sophomore effort and the battle that Lil Wayne faces trying to free his album Tha Carter V from the clutches of Cash Money Records. Lost in the hip-hop album shuffle has been Big Sean and an impending album that may be getting a release a lot sooner then anyone imagined. In a series of cryptic Instagram posts and tweets yesterday (Jan 25) Big Sean, Roc Nation, Drake, Jhené Aiko and others revealed that a project "Dark Sky Paradise" is in the works and could potentially be the title of his album. -

MTV Will Broadcast in Black and White in Honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, MTV will air its programming tomorrow, Jan. 19, in black and white. The network wants to get millennials talking about race as part of its #TheTalk campaign. It will mark the first time the music television network will broadcast sans color in 34 years, the Associated Press reports."The device of turning us black and white is going to be really, visually a jolt to say, you know what, there are differences and if we are going to ever get to a freer, more equal society, the best thing we can begin to do is talk about them," MTV President Stephen Friedman said. -
Travi$ Scott Says Album 'Rodeo' Will Be Released in March
Houston rapper Travi$ Scott has revealed the tentative release for his debut solo artist album Rodeo. In an interview with CR Fashion Book, Scott revealed that the album would be arriving sometime in March. It was a very typical way for the "Don't Play" rapper to make the announcement that was raised by a mother who was a retailer for Louis Vuitton. He commented on the meaning of the album title, Rodeo in the same interview. -

The Max-directed video finds Jace, of the groups Retro Sushi and Two-9, hanging around a gas station drinking beer and, later on, in the middle of a busy highway. While still a relatively new couple, Ariana Grande and Big Sean are not excluded from the world of reports speculating that the couple has broken up.Just Jared reported confirmation from Grande's representative this morning, Jan. 4, saying that the rumors that the couple have split are false, saying that the reports that had surfaced saying that the couple split following the Christmas holiday are "absolutely not true."Confirming the relationship in October 2014 in an interview with "The Daily Telegraph," Grande spoke fondly of Big Sean — real name "Sean Anderson" — saying, "He is one of the most amazing men in the whole world, and that includes my grandfather and my brother. I think the world of him, and he's an amazing person. Big Sean's family suffered an unfortunate loss recently when the rapper's grandmother, Mildred V. Leonard, died. She lived a full life, dying at age 93, but Big Sean wanted people to know how full her life was in other aspects. He posted a lengthy story on Instagram about Leonard, who sounds like a truly inspiring person, "Vibe" noted.A graduate of West Virginia State University, Leonard went on to obtain a master's degree as well. She was one of the first African-American females to reach the status of captain in World War II, so she was, like Big Sean wrote, "a true hero."Leonard became a police officer after WWII which, at the time, "was very rare for women to be officers in Detroit." She was also a teacher and counselor, but Sean remembered her as the "best grandma anyone could ever ask for."
