It looks like fans of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" that fell in love with this season's new additions, Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna, are going to have a reason to tune in again next season. Bravo's powers-that-be are reportedly quite happy with the direction that these two ladies helped to move the reality show in and they're anxious to have them both sign on for a second season. -
Many Reality Stars No Longer Have Enough Clout to Get Into NYFW
If you have paid any attention to the coverage coming out of NYFW, then you may have noticed that there seem to be fewer reality stars in attendance and far less photos of Bravo-lebrities converging on the festivities at Lincoln Center. It is not a coincidence either as organizers have really decided to tighten up on who is allowed in to view the new collections first-hand. This time last year there were reports of many bloggers scoring invites but then acting unprofessionally upon arrival. It caused IMG Fashion to consciously re-evaluate who would be given credentials and which celebrities really deserved those exclusive seats. Many reality stars no longer have enough clout to get into the event. -
Gia Giudice's Manager Puts Out a Casting Call for 'RHONJ'
We told you a few weeks ago that a casting call went out for fabulous women in New Jersey who would like to share their lifestyles and gorgeous homes in an already-established reality show. Of course, they were looking for new talent for "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" to replace some of the dead weight that they hired last season. Now Gia Giudice's manager, Maria De Santis, has also put out a casting call for "RHONJ." -
Bravo Loves Claudia Jordan's Clashes With NeNe Leakes on 'RHOA'
Have you been watching the current season of "RHOA"? Claudia Jordan is new to the canvas, and boy, has she made some serious waves with some of the other ladies. She does not go looking for a fight, but she also has no problem going toe-to-toe with the likes of NeNe Leakes, either. Leakes decided pretty much from the start that Jordan was not worth her time, and rather than ignore her, she began throwing stones. As a result, Jordan might be the first woman who has accurately ripped Leakes apart, and for that the Bravo producers love her. -
'RHOM' Lisa Hochstein Is Expecting a Baby Via a Surrogate After a Long Infertility Struggle
While "The Real Housewives of Miami" is probably the least-watched show in the Bravo franchise, it has given fans one of the most real stories possible. Viewers have watched as Lisa Hochstein has opened up and been honest about her struggle to get pregnant. She has the great house, supportive doctor husband and anything that money could buy, but the thing she has wanted most -- a family -- has felt pretty impossible, until yesterday, Feb. 9, anyway. Hochstein has confirmed that she and Lenny are expecting a baby via a surrogate after a long infertility struggle. -
Being Cheated on Isn't Such a Big Deal to 'Vanderpump Rules' Star Katie Maloney
Are you a fan of "Vanderpump Rules," the reality show on Bravo that focuses on a bunch of twenty-somethings working in Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants? It's generally a hot mess of bad behavior with many drunken nights out as a group that turn ugly. For the most part, they've all dated each other or at least hooked up and the rule of thumb seems to be do whatever you feel like doing, just don't get caught. In a recent episode, Tom Schwartz did get caught cheating on Katie Maloney, his girlfriend of four years, and her reaction was kind of unreal. -
A New Casting Call for Season 7 of 'RHONJ' Is Out: Who Will Be Fired to Make Room?
Awhile ago we learned that the TV network Bravo was conducting focus groups to try and figure out what to do with the show "RHONJ." Now that Teresa Giudice is settled behind bars for the next year, the show will need a major overhaul if it is going to continue, and now it looks like the network is taking steps toward giving it exactly that. A new casting call went out for Season 7 of the show, proving that changes are underway. -
'RHOBH' Kim Richards Has Just Landed a Role on 'Revenge'
Decades before Kim Richards was a reality TV star, she was a popular child actress. Fans of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" have watched as Richards struggled for a few years with a variety of problems, including substance abuse. For about the last 18 months or so, she has seemed pretty steady on her feet and appears to have found her balance again, so much so that Richards has actually decided to go back to her roots and begin auditioning again. -
Teresa Giudice's Friends Abandon Her Behind Bars as 'RHONJ' Inches Closer to Being Shelved
After years of playing people against each other, it looks like Teresa Giudice is the one left in the dust. "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star has famously manipulated Melissa Gorga, Jacqueline Laurita, Kathy Wakile and basically every other friend or family member whom she has crossed paths with, and now it is Giudice who is alone. After turning herself in to the prison camp in Danbury, Connecticut, that will be her home for the next 13 months, the reality star realized that even before she left no one was reaching out to her.According to a report by Radar Online, in the past these women would have been there for Giudice, in spite of how vicious she has been toward them, but now things are different. They realize that it is time to back away and save themselves from the toxic and even criminal behavior she has brought into their lives. While Giudice is away, it seems Bravo producers are inching closer to shelving "RHONJ," at least until she is released from prison. Like it or not, Giudice has always been the centerpiece of the show, and without her it is just unlikely that enough people are going to tune in to get the ratings to where they would need to be. Needless to say, the rest of the cast wants to believe that they are more than enough to keep the show going. The fact that they might need a shady, admitted criminal to keep them relevant and on television is no doubt a shot to their egos, but it does seem to be the bottom line. -
Andy Cohen Confesses That the 'Housewives' Series Was Almost Canceled Immediately
Who doesn't love Andy Cohen? He is the mastermind behind the "Real Housewives" franchise on Bravo and he also hosts "Watch What Happens: Live" each night. Aside from his obvious chops for business, he comes across as a really likable guy, and that makes him the perfect one to ask all those tough, interview questions. Cohen started at CBS as a producer and found his way over to Bravo after about 10 years in the business. He recently did an interview for "Entertainment Weekly" that revealed some pretty interesting details.Like the fact that "Watch What Happens: Live" is styled after Dick Cavett's old talk show and how Cohen taps into the old stuff to help guide his development decisions at Bravo now. He also talked about how many shows on the network have started off slow and picked up momentum by the end of their first season. Very rarely has there been an instant hit and, believe it or not, the "Housewives" franchise almost never existed!Cohen explained that there were so many production problems and other issues after filming the first season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" that it was almost canceled as soon as the season finished airing. Had it been killed, then we would have never met the ladies from New York City, New Jersey, Atlanta, Miami and Beverly Hills. Maybe Teresa Giudice would not have gotten so greedy and she would not be locked up right now ...Check out the clip here with Cohen dishing some behind-the-scenes info. -
Bravo Brings Back 'Manzo'd With Children' Adding Fuel to the Notion That 'RHONJ' is Finished
After leaving "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" a while back, Caroline Manzo was offered her own Bravo spin off show, "Manzo'd With Children," which actually did pretty well with the ratings. Well enough for the powers-that-be to decide to bring it back for a second season. For a while Manzo's name was being mentioned as a possible way of trying to save RHONJ. Bringing her back while Teresa Giudice spends the next year in the clink sounded like a possibility but focus groups just aren't having it. -
Eileen Davidson is Emerging as the Breakout Star on the 'RHOBH'
When the current season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" premiered a few months ago, everyone sort of expected Lisa Rinna to be the new cast member that was an instant hit, and she has been. Rinna is fun and it kind of seems like anything goes when she's on camera. She's also super-focused on not only her family, but keeping her career in Hollywood going any way that she can. Fellow soap star, Eileen Davidson, wasn't even introduced to the audience until the third episode and she just kind of clicked with the audience, to the point that she's now considered to be the breakout star of the show.
