Chris Young Expected to Make a Full Recovery
On Thursday night, Chris Young hosted his annual fan club party with a crowd of over 500 fans on the General Jackson showboat. After the party, he went home and started preparing a late-night dinner. He sliced his hand open with a kitchen knife and after an ER visit, was hopeful that he would be well enough to perform on Saturday at the CMA Music Festival. Yesterday, those hopes were dashed when he found that he had cut tendons and immediate surgery would be necessary. Released from the hospital this morning, Young is expected to be able to return to guitar playing (and full function) after physical therapy and rehab on the hand. -

The "Beat This Winter" tour, named in reference to the country star's 2013 single "Beat This Summer," will include 13 dates in the United States. Paisley last released an album in April, with Wheelhouse, but his Summer and Fall tour dates must've gone well enough to justify a third leg.
