If you are a fan of Peter Capaldi, then you will be thrilled to know that the actor has been confirmed to play the Time Lord in "Doctor Who" for the upcoming ninth season. Showrunner Steven Moffat confirmed that Capaldi's spin as the 12th doctor will extend for at least a second year. Unfortunately, Jenna Coleman's future still remains in question. She has portrayed Clara Oswald, the doctor's companion for the last two seasons, but there has been intense speculation that the upcoming Christmas episode will lead to her character's exit from the show.A DVD launch party for the recently completed eighth season of "Doctor Who" brought the cast back together, and in an interview Capaldi admitted that he was invited to read for the role of the eighth doctor back in 1996 and actually declined. Capaldi explains that he loved the role so much that he did not want to be crushed by going for it and then not getting it. -
18,000 Nurses in California Ready to Strike This Week Over a Lack of Ebola Preparedness Training
Ever since two Texas nurses tested positive for the Ebola virus after caring for Thomas Eric Duncan, our attention has been sharply focused on making sure that health care providers have the necessary training to safely treat future patients. Several facilities across the country have gone to great lengths in an attempt to force administrators to make sure the proper training is offered and, in some cases, nurses who feel unprepared have voted to strike.In northern California, there are 18,000 nurses in 21 hospitals and 65 clinics owned by Kaiser Permanente who are planning a two-day strike beginning Tuesday, Nov. 11. According to Charles Idelson, a spokesman for National Nurses United, the union's contract with nonprofit Kaiser expired in August and was extended until October. -

Fans of "The Young & the Restless" will be thrilled to learn that Steve Burton has decided to extend his contract with the show for another year. Burton first began appearing as Dylan McAvoy in January 2013 and fans were a bit surprised when he decided to extend his contract late last year because the character had yet to really gel with audiences. Obviously, Burton seems to be in it for the long haul and is really enjoying his work on the sudser. -

Former 'Days Of Our Lives' Star Peter Reckell Is Not Returning To Beloved Role, Clarifies Rumors
There are a lot of Days Of Our Lives fans waking up disappointed today. There has been a lot of speculation recently that the beloved character, Bo Brady (as played by Peter Reckell) might be on its' way back to Salem. Reckell has said in interviews that he would love to return to give fans a better sense of closure because after being such an integral part of the Days' landscape for a few decades, the character was written out in a pretty lackluster way. Reckell's recent tweets have led long-time fans of the soap to believe that he was hashing out a deal with the powers-that-be but last night he confirmed that it simply wasn't the case at all.
