On Nov. 11, an album of lost Bob Dylan lyrics set to new music, titled "Lost on the River: The New Basement Tapes," will be released and feature Elvis Costello, Marcus Mumford, Jim James of My Morning Jacket, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes and Rhiannon Giddens of Carolina Chocolate Drops. Today, the lyric video for one of the album's songs, "Spanish Mary," was sung by Giddens and released. You can check it out below. -

As the sun set in New York City's Central Park last night (July 29), singer-songwriter Conor Oberst was talking about cannibalism and the looming demise of humankind. "This song is about when all the water and oil runs out and we turn into cannibals. It's not that far away," the frontman warned the sizable and enthusiastic crowd before easing into the Bright Eyes track "No One Would Riot For Less." -

The 35th annual Montreal Jazz Festival ended just this past Sunday. Having begun on June 26, the event welcomed in some of the industry’s best musicians to perform for crowds and celebrate the wonderful genre of jazz. Legendary crooner Tony Bennett made an appearance in the largest hall, as did the likes of Lady Gaga and Elvis Costello. -

Seems like that country album that Bright Eyes and Desaparecidos frontman Conor Oberst is working on is well on its way. Today (Feb. 11), Oberst began streaming a new single "Hundreds Of Ways" on his official YouTube account and announced a 20-city tour for late spring alongside Americana rock act Dawes. -
