Several members of the alternative metal band Deftones were in attendance at the Eagles of Death Metal concert Friday night in Paris, France to watch the band perform. Just by chance, they left the show early before the start of the terrorist attack, which left 118 dead at the venue. -
Incubus, Deftones, Death From Above 1979 Announce Summer Tour
Incubus and the Deftones will join forces for a summer tour that kicks off July 22 in Clarkston, Michigan, and wraps Aug. 30 in San Diego. Death from Above 1979 will tag along for all but one of the dates in addition to support band The Bots. Major stops include the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, Aaron's Amphitheatre at Lakewood in Atlanta and Red Rocks in Morrison. -
Deftones New Album Due Out This Fall: Chino Moreno Promises 'More of a Heady Record'
The Deftones are putting together their first album since 2012's "Koi No Yokan." Frontman Chino Moreno told Rolling Stone in a recent interview that the follow-up is due out this fall. The singer pegged "September or October" as the tentative release months. -

Announced for Las Vegas on the weekends of May 8 and 9 and May 15 and 16, the fest (traditionally held internationally) will feature Taylor Swift, Metallica, Linkin Park, John Legend, No Doubt and the Deftones. -
Deftones at work on eighth studio album
The Deftones have revealed details of a new album in the work, Rolling Stone reports. Frontman Chino Moreno spoke at Melobourne's Soundwave Festival saying that though he hasn't begun work himself on their eighth effort the rest of the band started last week. "I'm excited to hear what they've done so far," he said."
