Katy Perry announces 'Prismatic' tour with Kacey Musgraves, Tegan and Sara, and Capital Cities
Katy Perry is seeing her popularity rise with the beginning of 2014, as her single "Dark Horse" rose to the top of the Digital Downloads charts last week and her album PRISM has risen on the Billboard 200 accordingly. The pop star is taking advantage of the situation and launching the "Prismatic" tour to build off that success. Dates won't actually begin until June, but she might as well build off the hype. -
Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Taylor Swift and more added as Grammy performers
Rock legends Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will perform at the 56th annual Grammy Awards, Billboard reports. The two former Beatles will be this year's recipients of the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. During their time as a band, the Beatles were awarded nine Grammys, starting with a nod for Best New Artist in 1964. -

Musgraves pulled from not just the traditional country scene but also from pop, rockabilly and blues to create a new, original sound with a sweet edge. -

Katy Perry has only announced one full concert for this fall, and it's going to be a big one. "We Can Survive," the name of the show, will pull double duty: More importantly, all of the proceeds raised will benefit the Young Survival Commission, which helps young women suffering from breast cancer. As a side note, the show will also go down the day after Perry's "Prism" debuts, and the pop star will have plenty of girl power in support. -

Luke Bryan Discusses Women's Struggles To Gain Traction In Country Field: 'It's Always Been Pretty Damn Crummy'
Luke Bryan admitted in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that "it sucks" for women in the country music genre right now. Although this isn't quite as liberating as hearing Jay Z declare that "women is pimps too," Bryan is currently at the top of the country game (and the music game in general, having topped the Billboard 200 for two straight weeks with his album "Crash My Party") and perhaps in a position to do something about it. -
