• Hudson Mohawke Releases 'Lantern' Feat. Miguel, Jhené Aiko

    Hudson Mohawke, real name Ross Brichard, has finally released his sophomore album Lantern through Warp Records after promoting the LP with singles and videos over the past few months. He previewed the album in full last week on iTunes radio. The 14-track album is split between instrumentals and vocal collaborations in the R&B and rap world. He taps names big and small like Miguel, Jhené Aiko, Irfane and Antony to sing on Lantern. The new LP is Hud Mo's first album since 2010's Butter.

    A$AP Rocky's highly anticipated sophomore album At.Long.Last.A$AP (A.L.L.A) has been released on iTunes and Spotify. The release date, without much of a warning, was pushed up to today after originally being slated to drop on June 2. The LP features some pretty big name artists including M.I.A., Lil Wayne, Schoolboy Q, Juicy J and others. Rocky tabbed an eclectic mix of producers for this album including Kanye West, Danger Mouse, Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E., Mike Dean and even himself for several tracks.

    Last month, A$AP Rocky sat down at the Red Bull Music Academy in London to talk about his new album At.Long.Last.A$AP (or A.L.L.A.) and last night he came back for another conversation with the Academy, this time in New York City at the Madiba Harlem Theater. During the talk, he shared a new song called "Everyday," which samples Rod Stewart's "In A Broken Dream" and features vocals from Miguel and production from Mark Ronson. He also confirmed that the album would be dropping June 2.

    The relationship between the majors and Soundcloud has been complicated. The labels know they need the influential discovery and streaming service to help find new artists and to promote their own music. However they are frustrated at the copyright infringement and lack of monetization opportunities present on the platform. Sony apparently is fed up with Soundcloud as the two parties are at an impasse over licensing negotiations. In response, Sony has pulled down the pages of more than a dozen artists including, Miguel, Adele, Hozier, Kelly Clarkson, Passion Pit, Leon Bridges and MS MR.

    Miguel is back with a new song and there will be an uptick in babies born in about nine months. The "Adorn" crooner has shared an updated version of his 2014 track "Coffee (F***ing)" that was featured on the December 2014 three-track EP, nwa.hollywooddreams.coffee. This new version features a new verse from Wale, who keeps with the sexual theme started by Miguel over baby-making instrumentals.
