• Nicki Minaj's Ex-Boyfriend Safaree Samuels Says He Didn't Ghostwrite For Her

    The end of 2014 was very personal for Nicki Minaj as she bore all to the world about her love life and how it influenced her over the process of creating her latest album The Pinkprint. The man at the center of this, her ex-boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, who became embroiled in controversy after he gave an interview with the Breakfast Club and made comments that insinuated that he had written some of Minaj's music. There were those who questioned his claims from the start as a possible publicity stunt to remain in the spotlight or help launch something of his own, but he has taken to twitter to clear up the whole matter. Samuels has admitted that he did not ghostwrite for Minaj because she was too smart and did not need someone like him to write music for her. See the tweets below.

American Beauty marked a significant uptick in sales from the band's 2013 album Save Rock and Roll.

According to a TMZ report, as Lil Wayne wants to keep his whole roster of artists together on Young Money, which includes Drake, Nicki Minaj, Christina Milian, Tyga, Lil Twist and Mack Maine, the president of Young Money. The "Start A Fire" rapper is prepared to sue Birdman to do so after already, reportedly filing a lawsuit to get the $8 million advance on Tha Carter V back as the album has not been released as of yet.

Shelton, one of the more humorous celebrities on the NBC singing show, was a good sport with all the jokes.

As we mentioned yesterday with the 200 roundup, it's the biggest sales debut from a solo performer since Susan Boyle released her first album during 2009.

    The rate at which Taylor Swift has been at the top of the Billboard 200 has been chopped down to 75 percent this week as Meghan Trainor takes the crown with Title. The album moved 238,000 equivalent albums, marking the highest debut for any solo performer since Susan Boyle during 2009. The "All About That Bass" vocalist joins One Direction and J. Cole as the only performers to interrupt Swift since 1989 came out 12 weeks ago. We'll see what happens next week with regard to that streak.

    Nicki Minaj just got signed to do one of her most interesting gigs in 2015. She will be headlining ESPN's X Games this June in Austin, Texas. Talib Kweli, Pennywise and Deltron 3030 will join "The Pinkprint" singer on the smaller South Factory stage, where the acts will perform. The "Anaconda" singer said in a statement to "The Wrap," "I look forward to channeling the energy and spirit from the X Games into a performance Austin will not forget."

Taylor Swift was at the top with 1989 once again, selling 111,000 copies of her album. Just last week she had her first slot with less than 200,000 in sales for 2015's bestselling album and now it looks like she may drop below 100,000 next week. On the plus side, Swift is at 3.94 million total units moved for the album, meaning it will most likely reach quadruple-platinum in the next seven days.
