  • 7 Classic Albums That Would Improve with Different Production: Paul Simon, Oasis and more

Though I wrote a list a few weeks ago about classic albums that sound awful, I wouldn’t change a thing about the way any of those albums were produced. When I sit down and listen to Raw Power, I want it to be rough and fuzzy, because that’s the kind of music the Stooges made. These seven albums, however, would have greatly benefited from a production overhaul.
  • Bonehead explains Liam Gallagher's 'OASIS' tweet

Last night, Liam Gallagher sparked rumors that his former band Oasis might be reuniting. He took to Twitter and spelled out the letters O, A, S, I and S over the course of a few hours then follow up with a post simply stating, "OASIS LG."
  • Six Lead Vocalists Who Don't Write Their Own Lyrics: Ozzy Osbourne, Roger Daltrey, and more

It's totally reasonable to assume that each member of a band writes his or her own parts: the guitarist writes the guitar parts, the bassist writes bass lines, and the vocalist writes the lyrics. However, there are some rare cases where someone in the band other than the vocalist writes the lyrics. Here are six examples of bands whose vocalists don't write their own lyrics.
  • Pulp and 'Common People' top BBC Radio list of 'Best Britpop Songs'

A BBC Radio listener poll demonstrated that the most popular Britpop track didn't come from one of the two bands Americans have become overly familiar with (Oasis or Blur), but rather Pulp. The group's "Common People" came out on top.
  • 6 Bands That Would Be Better With Different Lyricists: Best Coast, Oasis, and more

Just because you can write excellent music doesn’t mean you can write excellent lyrics to go along with it. Johnny Marr knew this when he collaborated with Morrissey, and Elton John knew this when he teamed up with Bernie Taupin. Here are six bands that should consider hiring new lyricists.
  • 6 Pairs of Rival Artists That Would Make Great Music Together: Robert Smith & Morrissey, The Flaming Lips & Arcade Fire and more

When Blur’s Damon Albarn revealed that he and Oasis’s Noel Gallagher had been talking about possibly recording together, we here at Music Times didn’t quite believe it was true. The two are notorious rivals, so working with one another seems like the last thing either one of them would want to do. This got me thinking about other artists who would never collaborate, but would probably make great work together if they did.
  • Seven Awesome Artists Who Are Ruined by Their Fans: Bob Marley, Oasis, and more

We all know at least one person who is so incredibly irritating that you refuse to listen to anything they say. If there's this one band they keep suggesting to you, you simply refuse to look into them, out of fear that you'll actually enjoy them and become irritating, too. Here are seven artists whose fans make me embarrassed to be a fan.
  • Liam Gallagher points out that remastering Oasis's 'Definitely Maybe' is stupid

Everything is being rereleased in a supposedly better remastered form nowadays. A prominent musician has finally come forward to express their displeasure with their work being reworked for a new release. Liam Gallagher took to Twitter to discourage Oasis fans from buying the forthcoming rerelease of the band's classic Definitely Maybe.
  • Oasis to reissue first three studio albums, a cassette of original 1993 demos and a 12-inch of 'Supersonic' for 20th anniversary

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Oasis's debut. To celebrate the milestone, the band plans to reissue their first three studio albums: 1994's Definitely Maybe, 1995's (What's The Story?) Morning Glory? and 1997's Be Here Now, according to Pitchfork.
  • Pharrell dreams of collaborating with Oasis, wants to reunite the Gallagher brothers

Pharrell Williams wants the Gallagher brothers to reunite for a collaboration. He told the BBC that collaborating with Oasis would be one of his dream projects."Who wouldn't want to work with the Gallaghers? Yeah, both of them," Pharrell told them. The brothers have been estranged since Noel left the group in 2009 and Liam continued to work with Oasis bandmates in Beady Eye and Noel has vowed never to reunite with the group.
