2015 is looking like it will be a big year for UK electronic band, The Prodigy. The "Firestarter" trio revealed earlier in the month that their sixth studio album The Day Is My Enemy would be released on March 30th and the lead single "Nasty" would arrive sometime in January. In support of the album, they have announced a 10-date UK tour in May that will crisscross the island hitting Newcastle, Cardiff, Reading and end with back-to-back nights at London's legendary Alexandria Palace on May 15 and May 16. -
The Prodigy Announce Album 'The Day Is My Enemy' Release Date, Tracklist
The news that all Prodigy fans have long been waiting for has finally arrived. The "Firestarter" group has dished the details on their upcoming artist album, "The Day Is My Enemy," slated for release March 30. Liam Howlett, Keith Flint and Maxim Reality have revealed the tracklist for the 14-track album as well via a post on the band's website."The Day Is My Enemy" will be the sixth album in The Prodigy's storied 20-plus-year discography and their first in six years. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the follow-up to 2009's "Invaders Must Die" with little definitive news as to when the next album would come. 2014 was supposed to see the next album in stores, but the year came and went, and 2015 looked like a surer thing after the group signed a new record deal and management contract.None of the songs on the album have been released yet, but two have been previously announced: "Ibiza" alongside Sleaford Mods and "Nasty," scheduled to get its release sometime later this month. It is interesting to see the band collaborate on the album with American dubstep producer Flux Pavilion, notably in a tracklist largely devoid of collaborations. They both make jarring and aggressive music, so we will see what kind of madness comes from that collab. -
The Prodigy Tease New Single 'Nasty' Release Date From Upcoming Album
U.K. electronic band The Prodigy appear to be breaking their studio silence at last and are ready to release some new music very soon. Very little information has emerged about the new album except that Liam Howlett was busy writing and recording, but sometime in the spring of 2015 the album was tentatively scheduled for release. Now they have provided more details about possible new music by teasing the cover art of their new single "Nasty Nasty" on Instagram. The song will apparently come out, according to the caption, sometime in January, though they will not reveal the exact date. -

The Prodigy and Chemical Brothers headlining Snowbombing 2014 festival in Austria
Summer (and spring in warmer climes) tends to be the most popular season for music festivals, which is reasonable. It's warm. And most people want to be warm when they're at a music festival. Electronic music has been defying the trend for several years however, by pairing two likely hobbies, EDM and snowboarding, for cold weather fun. Snowbombing, an electronic music festival held at a ski resort in Mayrhofen, Austria, does just that. It was recently announced that British acts The Prodigy and the Chemical Brothers would be headlining the 2014 version of the event. The latter will perform a DJ set.
