• Florence + The Machine Take Top of Billboard 200; Taylor Swift + A$AP Rocky Stick Around

    Florence + The Machine booked its first no. 1 effort on the Billboard 200 as mouthful How Big How Blue How Beautiful took the top spot with more than 137,000 equivalent album sales. Although only pure album sales were tracked at the time of the band's last release, Ceremonials, Billboard suggests that this was also the band's biggest sales weeks in terms of pure records as well.

  • 'Pitch Perfect 2' Soundtrack Sales Up, Snoop Dogg 'Bush' Numbers Down

    'Pitch Perfect 2' might not have a "Cups" yet (technically Anna Kendrick does perform her song on the new soundtrack but it's not a Hot 100 smash anymore) but it still managed something that the previous film's song collection didn't: topping the albums charts. The record, boosted by medleys featuring dozens of hit songs, won the sales battle this week by moving 91,000 copies.

  • Soundtracks Dominate Billboard 200 as 'Pitch Perfect 2' Debuts on Top

    Another week and another soundtrack atop the Billboard 200, as the song collection from 'Pitch Perfect 2' grabs the no. 1 spot by moving 107,000 equivalent albums sold. The original film's soundtrack peaked at no. 3 on the Billboard 200, although its single "Cups" was a smash on the download charts. The current film already out-earned the first installment, which brought additional attention to the album as well.

    This week Warner Music became the first major label to report higher earnings from streaming than digital downloads, but album sales seem to be doing alright for Mumford & Sons, which tops the sales chart by selling 249,000 copies of 'Wilder Mind' this week. That's a sizable number but more than a 50 percent drop off from the band's previous album, 'Babel,' which debuted with 600,000 copies sold (the biggest rock debut of the decade thus far, in the band's defense).

Onstage hosts include Bryan Cranston, John Oliver, Jamie Joxx, Jack Black, Bob Woodruff and George Lopez.Along with musical performances, the concert will also feature tributes and portraits of veterans from special guests such as Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Will Smith, Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon.If you have cable but are not an HBO subscriber, the network will be opening its signal to non-subscribers for the duration of the concert. An audio feed of the concert will also be broadcast through iHeartRadio.
